Digger Dawn - OMG Digging with Aquachigger Ringy Jocelyn and my new AT Max

OMG all my dreams came true today. I was on a metal detecting dig with Aquachigger Ringy Carlotta and Jocelyn (when she finally arrived after partying all night) on their last day in England. I was also using my Garrett AT Max for the first time and I had some great help and tips from Tim and Beau on how to use my New AT Max and Garrett Carrot! Huge thanks to Chris Langston from 'Metal detecting holidays', who looked after everyone so well all day and provided the land. Metal detecting can never get better than this, it was an absolute dream come true for me.

A dream come true eh Dawn. When you first swung a Garrett Ace and decided to post videos on You Tube you could never have imagined it would lead to Detectival, metal detecting celebrity, and hanging out with some of the biggest names in the hobby from across the pond. Congrats, you deserve it for being a true entertainer xx

You know its unbelievable isnt it? I couldnt ever have imagined that day when I get my rubbish detector out of the shed because Id been watching Ringy on the TV, that one day I would be out in a field digging with him and all the other great diggers, the last few weeks have been amazing and Im on such a high. Im just thankful to everyone thats ever watched my channel for helping me achieve this dream :-)

Hi yes its quite a step up from the 400i the sounds are different and everything, it wont take me long though and I just know once I get used to it that my find rate is going to go up!

I live in northwestern Ohio. Anyway....the oldest home in my area was built in 1834. To make things more interesting it's located on a river. The Shawnee Indians also had a village here. Behind my house I have been finding some good stuff including a musket ball. I can't wait until the water warms up. Today was actually the first day I could take my shirt off and get some sun.

Thanks Rick, my accent gets easier to understand the more you watch, last week at detectival Beau (aquachigger) was really struggling, but he was ok this week, it was so funny! Jocelyn and Tim did fine :-)

Great! Dawn, IF 10 years ago someone said this is what you would be doing 10 years down the road. (Never believe it) Detecting is a second, third childhood. To learn ALL the tricks with a modern, high end detector takes time, and you never end up knowing it all. Working fields in America isn't done all that often, history isn't old enough. I expect good finds from ya now, your in with the "Big Team"

Ringy is such a great guy, really down to earth and funny, it was fab to hear him actually saying I got roundness in the hole haha, and he did have an amazing roundness in the hole, but thats his story to share :-)

Fun Video as usual! Thanks for sharing.. ! By the way,, at 7:35 You don't have to shut the pin pointer off fully. You can just push the on/off button and quickly release it . That will cause the PP to auto balance itself to the surroundings. Doing it this way, you can quickly de-tune or rest it to max sensitivity by holding in in the air.

The dinner was driven onto the field, had sandwiches wrapped in serviettes and lovely homemade apple pie, how the other half live eh :-) It was all organised by metal detecting holidays :-)

that's really cool that you got to hang out with some of your Heroes. my wife and I are going to get into metal detecting, hopefully both of us will anyway. just ordered a very inexpensive metal detector (tight budget). but the reviews I've seen on KZfaq of this model seem to be tolerable. We'll see what happens. love your videos.

Digger Dawn, you can also set the sensitivity of the garrett carrot by holding down the power button until you hear it 'beep' then press the button again to go through 3 sensitivity levels (signified by 1,2, 3 beeps) and 3 silent modes. When you are at the level you want to try, hold down the power button again until it 'beeps'.
