That’s exactly what I expected from Goodwill. Water damaged easy listening records from the 1950s and a bunch of CDs that were big in the 1990s.

I’ve hit the jackpot at goodwills over the past decade. The key is to be consistent with checking back. You never know when you’ll hit right when someone’s dropped off their “cool” uncle’s collection!

Don't hate too much on Goodwill records. I've only had about three that were unplayable. I've heard that visiting stores in richer areas tend to yield better finds but haven't done that myself. Thanks for going out into the wild and giving this another shot for all of your older audience members. XD

as far as vinyl goes what you found is type of stuff i always find. nothing interesting. but i do find some good CDs on occasion.

My Goodwill always has boring records. The CDs were much better.

The albums you we're looking through I saw a few good ones but the majority of the ones that you look through will basically junk albums stuff that I would turn down. The best album that I saw in there was Mel'isa Morgan, she was a popular R&B artists of the 80s. But you are so right that search was definitely a failure.

You passes by some great old jazz - Cal Tjader, Jeri Southern, June Christie, Lester Young, Mary Ann McCall. Worth some $$$, too.

I'm not certain what you collect, or how cheap they were, but some decent records there - Cal Tjader, Rotary Connection, Herbie Mann, John Klemmer - even if you don't like the music you can use them as 'record tokens' and part exchange in record collector stores to swap for music you do like....also worth checking those sleeveless 'orphaned discs' as there maybe some nice titles you can match up with their covers.

I’m not into the genres or artists that I saw at Goodwill. I have a very modern taste and I pretty much only buy new vinyl. Not sure if I’d be able to trade those old Goodwill records for new/modern ones, but it could be worth a shot!

that got me good when you said "i don't know if they were free" i mean to be honest alot of that stuff you couldn't even give it away. however there was a box set that is sealed in there that i have a copy of. so that would have been a good score to resell. but good will is really hit and miss.

Lol they should've been free because of their condition! Most of it isn't even worth $1. Sometimes I paint on vinyl records so that's the only reasonable thing to do with Goodwill records. I'm surprised I found a few sealed records/box sets. Is the one you have worth a lot? Maybe I should go back and get it lol.

@@MorganBrandon it was the Georege Burns Box. i can't find it on Discogs but to a fan of old time radio comedy it is a good set. to find something like that sealed it rare.

I don't know if you're a big rock and roll fan or not but there is a group that you would really really like to listen to It's called a hail storm and the lead singer's name is Lzzy Hale she plays guitar and piano she's really good check out some of their stuff and you would love Halestorm

I have a question to ask you I just recently purchased two new records I recently purchased Ozzy Osbourne's Bark at the Moon it's on a blue vinyl pressing but the album needs to be cleaned how do I clean it
