Hi Guys,
This is what it is all about for me, using my allotment in every way. I love cooking so the smoker was just another thing I wanted to include. Within time when everything is growing, I can have the meat in the smoker and prepare the salad whilst I wait!

I do what I do because I've got so much love for it; gardening, being handy, working with everything from compost and seeds, to timber and trees I enjoy it all, regardless of the weather, any day spent gardening is a good day.

As long as youve started your charcoal well before putting it in the smoker you don't need extra ventilation at the bottom of it, there is enough of a gap to give it a really slow burn for long slow smoking. Enjoy 😊

Wow, looks exactly like the same smoker I also just bought for under £40. I first used it last Sunday and did a BBQ first just over the hot charcoal and with only the bottom piece to have some quick food, that was great :-) I then added more charcoal, and whisky chips that I had soaked for a day but wrapped in an aluminium tin, leaving it open at the top and placed directly on the charcoal. I then added the water bowl and that contained soaked mixed pickling herbs and spices. On the bottom rack I placed similar sized joints of beef, lamb and pork, but not wrapped in foil. On the top rack I put chicken thighs, duck breast, tuna steak, mackerel fillets, trout fillets and shelled boiled eggs, also unwrapped, and just left it to cook overnight. I had no problem with the airflow and the chimney vent was closed - heat rises saw draws in the air at the bottom. Everything turned out fully cooked, really tasty, and succulent. I didn't add any sauces or marinade the food beforehand, and didn't even brine my joints like I usually do. So more experimentation to come! So pleased to have come across this video though :-)

I moved up to the Pit-barrel which was next level but still very hands on , which I like. I now own a Traeger ! I would recommend his smoker to anyone getting started, great little smoker !

As a previous Traeger+ user, the switch to Asmoke has been a game changer for me. The flavor infusion with the wood pellets from Asmoke is unparalleled, and the convenience of the digital controller for precise temperature control has improved my smoking game by leaps and bounds. The ASCA™ technology ensures efficient cooking and the FlameTech patent for temperature control is truly commendable. What I love most is the portability, it's battery-powered and perfect for outings. I can take it camping, tailgating, picnicking, you name it! The best part is, I can monitor the temperature and create and share recipes via the app. It's not just a grill, it's a comprehensive grilling experience. #Asmoke

As a previous Traeger+ user, I decided to switch to Asmoke due to its impressive features and performance. The precise temperature control within 5°F, achieved by the FlameTech patent, made a significant difference to my cooking. The portability of the Asmoke grill, thanks to its battery-powered design, changed my outdoor cooking game entirely. It's perfect for outings, and with up to 10 hours of runtime, it's a true game-changer. The convenience of remote temperature adjustment and food temperature monitoring via the app is a fantastic feature. The added bonus of being able to share my recipes is a creative outlet I truly appreciate. The diverse flavors from the wood pellets are simply amazing, enhancing the taste of my smoked ribs tremendously. I've never looked back since making the switch. #Asmoke

It's more like grilling rather than smoking but no denying it tastes good. When you smoke it's a neccessity to dry meat before smoking - in case of not doing so, meat surface becomes eventually black (after, let's say 3 hours of smoking) and that's due to harmfull substances coming from smoke easier sticking to meat surface. Same thing with immersing smoke chips in the water - it doesn't give you more smoke - it gives you more water vapour which is not what gives a smoked meat it's taste and aroma and as with wet meat - it helps sticking aforementioned substances to stick to the meat. It's not the case in this video, probably because it's has been smoking for like half an hour and the rest of the time was grilling.

Hi from Greece. I am just trying it with the same smoker. Its been almost the first 3 hours. Put some turkey legs on top and chicken on bottom. Didnt dare to put ribs for the first time. I am very anxious about the charcoal. You dont say anything, so... Checking to see if they are out and wondering how will they keep for so many hours. I put the chips in a special box. Hope they stay smoking. Thank you for the special video. Update. Almost done. Moved the turkey on the bottom. Chicken wings are absolutely delicious. Checking temperature because we are starving!!! Charcoal: more and more from the door to keep hot, but was easy. Oh my, the taste (depending on the woods (apple) and our sauce) is Incredible!!!

Can I offer a newbie a bit of advice? I have found that soaking any wood chips to let them smolder an coat the meat with a "smoky" flavor is a really bad idea. I tried the "soaked chips" early on when I first started as well but now changed up. Even using dry wood in these little smokers can be iffy...but there is a way to use them. #1.. use a good quality lump charcoal... not briquettes. It burns longer and potentially hotter with less ash to deal with. Using straight lump you can still achieve a nice mild smoked flavor. #2.. IF you want a lil more smoky flavor, be sure and bury wood CHUNKS.. (not the stuff shown here)… bury them under the lump charcoal. The reason for this is you need a good hot complete burn of the gases coming off the wood. The worst enemy of smoked foods is the blue grayish smoke that is emitted with incomplete burn. That is creosote... and will condense on your food.. potentially giving it a bitter nasty taste. IF said smoke is made to pass thru good hot burning lump charcoal above it.... that burns the creosote off before it gets to your food. Still.. use it sparingly... maybe just 2-4 chunks of good dry wood will give all the extra smoke flavor you need. So that is my reasoning behind advising against using soaked wood chips. … because they just smolder with that blue gray smoke that stick to your food. Believe me... this is from experience and your real championship cooks will tell you the same thing. Coming from your vents should only be a very light wispy white smoke.. if any is visible at all. Check out tips from Harry Soo... and how he sets up his fire/coals in his similar cookers and wins at competitions. He has tons of vids on KZfaq with really great advice. No offense intended to the guy posting this vid. .. and apologies for writing a book here for you to read. Hope you and yours make it thru these crazy times!!

Cheers for this video, just bought this from amazon with the same chips. Had no idea I needed coal being totally new to it. Awesome little guide even though it felt like this wasn't the intention of the content. Appreciate it!

years ago I put some nail holes through the charcoal pan on the bottom, it helped but you cant cover them with foil, now I just open the door a little and can control the heat.
