Digital Clamp Meter Review (Vevor)

This Vevor unit is a nice budget friendly multimeter with clamp on ammeter and non-contact voltage sensor. The meter quality seems good and standard voltage and resistance test measurements match closely to my many other meters. The main features of this meter is the clamp on ammeter function for the ability to measure current without disconnecting your circuit and the non-contact voltage sensor. These functions work well from my testing and the accuracy is more than enough to work for my home DIY/repair needs. The included case is a nice feature.

Kinda a meter snob myself, I could still see it useful for those who don’t use them everyday. It’s hard to justify the cost of a Fluke to a hobbyist. FYI take the battery out when you aren’t using it. I lost a Fluke 381 due to the battery leaking.

Well done Chuck. I know some folks seem to think no one should tell people about these things but if no one does a review just where are you going to learn about what is available and if it works. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.

A decent unit for occasional use, but it's like a three-in-one lathe/mill- you will find its' limits quickly if you use it all the time.

Like others im not normally a fan of reviews but in this case that is actually something i might consider getting . I wouldn't consider un subbing because i dont have to watch just because it comes up in the notifications, if im not interested i just ignore and wait for domething i am interested or entertained by. Hint, i usually do watch all even if i dont comment😂

the clamp part only works if you check one wire on the feed if you try both it does not work

I understand and hope you hang around, have a build video in production now....yes, I do get these items and I do a review, IMO, it is showing tool options which many viewer have no idea they are out there at a certain price... take care....

Chuck, any particular reason for checking the AC voltage between high leg and ground, rather than between the high leg and the neutral?
