Pakistani citizens are paying electricity bills not only for WAPDA officers/officials but also for serving/retired Generals, judges, senators, assembly members, PM & the President of the country, Federal and provincial Ministers and so many more. That's the reason electricity costing Pkr 5 has been chatged at approx Pkr 25 per unit. Further these bills contain several taxes even further tax. Moreover the most embarrassing each bill contains PTV Fee beside the fact that none of us are watching PTV or any other TV as most of Pakistanis do have andriod phones etc. All these and other hidden facts are the reasons of our excessive electricity bills.

U r right. However let me add that how can u plan or manage in this country where u don't know that utility bills will be 1000 or 20000. The only country on the globe where Fuel Adjustment Charges are included after 3 months. Only one grade 17 bustard accounts officer plays with the figures, actually plays with the humble pockets of bloody civilians.

One thing is missing n very important: AC uses more than half of the electricity of a building so whether you are using inverter AC or traditional technology, always put thermostat of AC between 28-30 according to the environment. Purpose of AC is to end sweating, not making induce shivering. What people do is very strange, outside temperature is 45 degree and people are sleeping inside the room at 24, 23 degree by taking blankets. This habit is not only impact badly on electricity bill n AC performance but also imposes a bad effect on human health by disturbing the homeostasis mechanism of the body. Save energy for your nation n above all for yourself n family. Don't give money to WAPDA, use it on healthy life life style n make any thing of domestic use. Giving 50, 60, 70 , 80 n 90 thousand to WAPDA every month doesn't make any sense. And above all, bear a little heat and give this money to the needy people. I do hope bearing this heat for this Nobel purpose would save us from the scorching heat of the Day of judgment n Jahannum.

well, keeping temperature at 24 does not induce any shivering. It just keeps the room comfortable enough. But keeping it under 20 would definitely be much colder than required. Secondly, its easy to say to give the money to poor and bear some heat but practically speaking, the heat in our country during summer is unbearable without AC. Your comment cannot be taken seriously.

@@saiqaakbar4137 he is saying make your body use too for the heat, believe me it is not so much difficult. 10 years ago I can't sleep without AC in summer but then I make my habbit to spent more time in open space of terrace or in front of window and using AC only for 1-2 hours at the time of sleeping and this habit make my body more relaxed.

If the meter can be 'legally slowed and thus show less electric consumption, does it mean that it can also be adjusted to run fast and show higher consumption than actually consumed. This would give K-electric and their staff an advantage to make the consumers suffer more hardship.

Sir peak hours sirf three phase meter ky calculate hoty hai. Single phase consumers ka peak time may ziada electricity use krny sy b bill may koi farq nai prta.

@@TechKnowledge64 Many to Kisi Ghar may 3 phase meter nahi dekha wo Sirf Jinho Solar lgwa kr net metering krwani ho wo 3 phase lgaty hai ya commercial shops may 3 phase lgta hai. Baki gharo may to single phase meter hi lga hota hai

I have a question. In Pakistan everybody is talking about saving electricity. In winter people consume less electricity. It means we saved some reasonable amount of electricity in last winter. Where is that saved electricity? Why they can't avail that saved electricity to be utilized in summer? Electricity is not like water that can be saved in storage except batteries. We built our plants on the basis of "Energy on demand". These systems are obsolete now because they have no provision to convert left over extra electricity into another material form of energy which can be stored easily. Does our prime minister has the capability to think on this side also?

when you save electricity, it is used in reducing the load shedding and if there is no such demand then it is saved in production in form water storage in dam in case hydro power production and saved as fuel or gas in its thermal production and used later in summer or winter if needed.
