The entry code button location is puzzling “Trigger warning” This video is very helpful towards the end but I had to relive the incredible frustration of inadequate instructions provided by Union safe Co. before I got the answer as to how I set the entry code. (Red entry code button is on inside of door on hinge side).

I just did the same thing with this safe and also had difficulty. Quite ambiguous instructions, to say the least. I did find the set button easy enough, but it took probably ten times for the code to accept. Thanks for the video though. If you think this was bad, try buying one of those biometric fingertip ones. I purchased one from a different company years ago. You had to set your ONE print three times, from three different angles, and it would set. I tried probably eighty times. First print, no problem. Second, no problem. The third? Nope. No matter WHAT, the third picture would NOT accept. I tried like I said, probably close to a hundred times, with each digit I have from all different angles. It would always take the first two but never the third. I wish I could remember the brand to warn others to avoid buying it, but it's at my other residence and the name escapes me, but it was a piece of trash. I just gave up and had the key ready at all times and just used that. I would NEVER buy another biometric or fingertip one again.

Brought a house and have one of these in the cupboard, the key is stuck in there but after following you it doesn't seem to lock, any idea how to get the key out?

I have this same safe, and I enter my code, and it says ready, but it won't open? Can anyone offer any advice? I don't have the key anymore.

Is it clinking when you put the code in? If so it should open is dial moving? You can also give them a sharp stike on the top while twisting the dial and I hear sometimes that will work...

If the lock latch hasn't been adjusted, you might be able to give it a sharp hit on top while pulling on the door and get it to open.

The problem is with the keys, it would keep someone out with the know how about three minutes. I agree, the instructions are not good, but it did say "Leave the door open" i bet if you read further it would have told you why!

So ambiguous, omg... "Press 00 on keypad" ok... then "then press and hold Entry code button until safe beeps yellow and yellow light illuminates" (no "entry code" button). What?? C'mon Harbor freight 😂

Might try again it can be a bit tricky and remember after you put your Pin in you need to push that A button or B which ever you used when you programed it...

@@TheElectronMan I did both me and my father tried. Many times. We followed all the instructions. It turns off the yellow and it beeps. But when we try the PIN number it doesn’t work

@@TheElectronMan I think perhaps mine is defective. Since it was a gift I can’t exchange it so I’ll just use the key only for now

@@karaline202 When you put the pin number in and hit A or B does it beep or anything you should hear a clunk sound and then it opens.. To bad if it is defective I guess like you said at least you can just use the key...
