Recently purchased this to go with the VIZIO OLED and DAMN its a nice bar....100% would recommend to anyone looking for a soundbar (but yes wait for it to be on sale at Best Buy for 600-700)

You are 100% correct. Vizio makes an excellent Sound Bar and they make an excellent OLED Television. My old Vizio, VO32L HDTV 10A, is 15 years old and still working great in my office. My Samsung UN50JS7000 lasted 6 years . I only get Sport Mode for Sound and Picture. I am taking your advice and getting the M65QX-K along with the M-Series Elevate 5.1.2 Immersive Soundbar. Your reviews are one of the best for those of us that need the basics explained. You are better than Consumer Reports . . . You are professional and transparent and educate us out here that need it most.

Just had mine delivered to me a few days ago. I upgraded from the SB365.1.2. The Elevate is WAY better. It's great for movies and gaming. Music is not it's best quality but it sounds so much more clear than my old system. It is an amazing sound bar. I still can't get it to connect to wifi. Going to call Vizio support for that. I'm very happy with this purchase. You won't be disappointed.

I had never bought a soundbar before but ended up buying the Elevate for $699 for myself and the SB36512-F6 for a relative for $299 during the Black Friday/ Cyber Monday sales. Not a bad start. Pretty sweet deals.

@rnbtv. I still works like new. I haven't had any problems yet. The thing I hate is I can't turn it up as high as I'd like to because I live on the second floor of my apartment. It's a great buy. If you have the cash, go for it.

@@JChaseS Hi, Chase. It was $699 for Prime Day/Father’s Day weekend for a few days. It was also that price directly through Vizio, and since I had a 20% credit with them, I ended up getting it for $560. So far it’s been absolutely worth it - I’m enjoying it. It will more than likely be on sale again for BF (it was last year, but sold out). Keep checking their website, though - perhaps they’ll have a flash sale throughout the year. Hi Digital Trends! Question about wireless rear satellites and atmos. Do they have to be at ear hright for best effect, or could they be close to the roof (for wiring reasons), if theres some room correction or similar available?

Great review, but the only thing some reviews aren't speaking about is the amount of speakers it has and per channel. 18 total! More than most, for instance the Samsung q850t only has 10. Also how when in Atmos/ DTS X mode, it's effectively a 32"soundbar, but when out of it, it turns the ends down and transforms into an extra wide 48" soundbar. This soundbar is underrated ATM, but I don't think for long.

I purchased one of these a few weeks ago new from best buy for $400 to pair with my 65" Hisense U8H TV . I'm no high end audio type person and know this is an older bar, but it sounds great and very easy to setup..

So kicking it with the Vizio SB36512-F6 sounds great! I'll wait until it quits before going in on another. Use to have an issue with the sounbar cutting out for 2 seconds at least twice a day. But since buying my Q80T it hasn't happened. Still can't figure out why though. I'll take it! Very nice this soundbar seems to be.

Thank you for making my decision easy for my new house. I was looking for a budget friendly device that had all the bang for the buck. And I have found it after much research. Also, thank you for all the tips in making sure everything is compatible to stream atmos. Samsung NQ90D check. Firestick 4k max check. Vizio elevate check. I wanted to make sure everything would run through earc, and I had no issues, so I appreciate the information. I can't wait for the first family movie night.

Hi :) just wondering.. so if you are watching ( KZfaq ) for example, and the Audio switches to something with Dolby atmos, the speakers will definitely fire upwards?? Also.. can you add another two surround speaker's to the mix? :) to add more atmos elution.

I bought the $300 5.1.2 Vizio soundbar last night and honestly it’s perfect for my apartment. Played a little Ghost of Tsushima last night on my PS5 and my god it sounded AMAZING! The affects had me feeling like I was in the game! Can’t wait to watch movies on it! Fantastic system for $300!

Are you talking about the m series Dolby Atmos 5.1.2? I’m think about getting it. Does it have 2 HDMI PORTS? One in and one out?

It’s got some annoying bugs, but sound wise, it’s probably the best bang for buck on the market. $300 for 5.1.2 surround sound with Atmos that actually sounds good is an amazing value. It’s perfect for an apartment. Turned up to like 40% volume and the sound is fantastic!

Hi all, I got an Sonos Arc for Christmas, I have TCL R625 and Xbox series x. How do I hook everything up together to get Atmos? Should I connect the arc to earc and xbox to hdmi or xbox to earc and sonos arc to hdmi port on tv or the arc through xbox directly?

I am also purchasing a 65" LG CX. I was debating between a Dolby Atmos compatible wireless speaker system or a Dolby Atmos compatible soundbar. At present the top two contenders are Sennheiser AMBEO and Samsung Q950T. Your review has added another contender; the Vizio Elevate. Thanks!

If you don't care about sound stage and want something that has a powerful output, you can't go wrong with any of your soundbar options. But if you feel that soundbar sound is too narrow (such as myself) I'll say invest traditional home theater that supports dolby atmos. You can certainly build up one arround $1,000 and probably sound way better that any of these soundbars. You just need to sacrifice a bit of the esthetics.

The design is really cool and the execussion even sounds like it was done very well but the design is inherently a compromise. You get more compact and automatic atmos but you lose 2 forward facing speakers, so you compromise... Really just me picking on marketing more than the actual performance but something to note.

Thank you for all the informative content. You have become a go to for my tech questions. Regarding the Elevate, I've seen some troubling posts concerning the Elevate's ability to stay connected and give uninterrupted sound and perhaps more worrying that certain Vizio products including the Elevate using WiFi Direct in such a way that it is continuously broadcasting even after the set-up is complete. This function can't easily be disabled and compromises not only the unit's security but the security of your personal network as well. I had recently found the Vizio M 5.1.2 for a great Black Friday sale price but not surprisingly Amazon botched the delivery and now of course it's sold out everywhere. I'm looking for an alternative and while I would have preferred to spend less I'm prepared to shell out a bit more for quality. Any guidance would be appreciated. 🙏

Yes noisy especially on a stand. But I must admit it’s held up surprisingly well, my soundbar was pretty damaged and dented, but still rotates with no issues so built pretty well.

How is the audio delay though? There's a 44ms audio delay on a sound bar I have from Vizio that I cannot stand, and it makes playing games on PS5/SeXbox frustrating because gun shots and dialogue don't quite match up

Thank you for this video I received my Sonos Arc Tuesday and returned it Friday nothing but problems with the app and it would not even recognize the soundbar. I picked up the Vizio elevate this Soundbar is awesome and no issues whatsoever. And it sounds awesome

I bought this at Best Buy on sale for $699. The value for the price just can't be beat period. Make sure you download the app to really control the equalizer, volume of each speaker, etc.

How much better is the p series vs the m series elevate? Does the p elevate have a big different in dolby atmos sound vs the m elevate? I have the m elevate and i dont hear any dolby atmos effects. I'm streaming dolby atmos content on Netflix with the cap opened up so i know atmos is working. Maybe the soundbar just cant deliver atmos effect effectively.

Yes. But it doesn’t help much. I maxed out the atmos intensity on mine and it still doesn’t really sound like it’s coming from the ceiling

@David Mander maybe some people want a wireless system...no need to be an asshat about it...as long as someone is happy with what they got is what matters....i had all klipsch theater system which was great but was tired of the clutter and the wires...i really enjoy the Sonos...your opinion really means nothing to me....plus i got discounted prices for mine which made the decision easier

I bought this System for my 65" LG & it does not Dissapoint. Best one I have heard out there. As far as people on here saying its a cheap system, they have no clue what their talking about. All the other CRAP is jusy overpriced. Get it, you will love it.

Most saying that are probably just basing it on the brand name only, which even that is rather dumb considering I've seen Vizio soundbars in comparison tests defeat not only more prestigious brands but even beat rivals' soundbars that were from a higher price bracket. Much of Vizio's software could use some serious work, but the value/ performance ratio of their soundbars is very impressive.
