Digitech BP355 bass multi effects with BARITONE guitar

Күн бұрынA great pedal that works well on all kinds of guitar (in this case, baritone). There were some really impressive distortions in there. In my experience, Digitech pedals usually lack individuality and charm but this would have to be one of my favorites from them. It still doesn't top the mighty BNX3, though (see my review of that one on Gearfacts)

screw these people saying what its used for... A bow is made for a violin but page used it for his guitar. experimenting is the best part of music creation. keep rocking!

Great review! I was on the fence between a small pedalboard and a multi processor like that. Im a bassist in a variety cover band that has no keyboardist, so I need to have a big toolbox of tones at my disposal and it looks like this would be perfect. I found one at a used store for $99 USD and I think I'll have to pick it up today. I really dig how the expression pedal can dial in the effects level. Again, great demo

Good, realistic demo, dude; I have the RP-355 and love it. Any pedal takes me a little time to get the right punch, and that baby has a crisp power and stompbox/looping effects that are right on the money. A real value these days, too, if used!

Just a few questions. Is the delay between switching patches acceptable for live use? Also, do the delays and reverbs trail off while changing patches? Love your demo BTW!

Hmm this was a long time ago so it's hard to remember. The switching was super-fast but I'm not sure about the delay/reverb tails. Gearfacts

I think the GT6B is definitely worth the extra money if you are only using it for bass. If you wanna use your pedal for 6-string as well, the Digitech might be *slightly* better.

Hi thanks for the video. I have just bought one of these for my son for his birthday , He has a normal 6 string electric guitar. I thought I had ordered the RP355 but hadn’t 😩. Will this be ok for him for his normal guitar ? TIA Darren

Not to worry! The sounds are virtually identical and in fact this older version is more comfortable to play, especially if you aren't wearing shoes :)

Does that have a USB out, to record straight into a computer? If so, does the output cause clipping in a DAW? I have a Digitech RP350 for my 6-string, which I love. It sort've can work with the bass, but only sort've.

This does have a USB out. It's a great pedal if you're looking to pick one up :)

***** Thanks Alex. Actually, I went and got the BP355 after I posted my question. Another fantastic pedal! And now I actually use it for my bass AND my regular electric, as it can reproduce many of the same effects as the RP350. So my RP350 is now like a "spare". This wasn't my original plan, but when I tried the BP355 on my regular electric, it sounded great. Digitech rocks!

David Nika Ah FINALLY someone who understands! Since posting this video, so many people have blasted me, saying "Hey MAN, this pedal is for GUITAR, NOT BASS!" as if I'm committing some kind of affront to humanity by trying it out with a baritone guitar. Glad it's doing good things for you, bro!

Virtually un-noticeable switch time. Good unit, only better one I think is the Boss ME8B, but they'd be pretty hard to find these days.

I suggest the digitech website. When searching for drivers online most websites are a complete waste of time sadly.
