I've had this pedal for years. It helps to have tight string tension. There is a slight latency, at times it can sound/feel more noticeable. I play in a 90's cover band, we used to just tuned down a half step for everything, then one of our singers sat in with another band that played in standard, she had a much easier time singing in the correct tuning. We all had Drop pedals, and decided to add them to our pedalboards. It's proven to be very handy. None of our followers has mentioned hearing a latency, it's just us musicians on the stage that can kind of feel it. Much easier than switching instruments or tuning constantly throughout a gig. Our singers work up their setlists and don't consider tuning differences, so the pedal is a must.

I had one of these and I sold it because I was desperate for money. I still regret it, especially since I got a much higher paying job after that.

This pedal is really cool, but for example if I have to tune the guitar to Drop D(Half Step Down) how can I do it? Can it be done with the pedal?

This pedal opened a massive door creatively for me. Some of my riffs just sound way more compelling in lower tunings. I don't abuse lower tuning like some modern metal guitarists, half of my best songs are in E standard. But I can't deny how much more epic some of my riffs sound lower.
