Just wanted to say from personal experiences in SK Never trust anyone especially co workers. Never share about family or personal details. The schools tend to treat 🇺🇸 better than South Africans teachers. What also happens is the directors get them 🇺🇸to keep an eye on us & give feedback on our competence.their salaries are even higher! What adds to homesickness is going to work everyday knowing that someone is going sabotage it or to ruin it for the fun of it! What I’ve learned, it’s important to save so that if we need to resign you have 2 months of savings to find another job in SK. Don’t put up with abuse. Place your notice and move to another school. On the bright side there are good schools out there we must not settle for less wages and low standards this is where the problem lies because they think South Africans are desperate.l and they treat us accordingly. This is how we end up in these terrible schools. Don’t settle!!
