DILL PICKLES, trying something different this year!
Ingredient List-I tripled this recipe for this video.
Brine-
4 cups water
3 cups white vinegar
1 TBS Kosher or Pickling Salt
2 TBLS Pickling Spices (Wrapped in cheesecloth and tied together)
13 lbs cucumbers (sliced 3 different ways)
1/4 cup Kosher or Pickling Salt
1 tsp peppercorns per jar
1 tsp dill seed per jar
1-2 cloves garlic per jar
1 Medium onion sliced (just a bit in each jar)
Directions-
Salt pickles (1/2 cup) and ice for 2 hours.
Sanitize and warm jars.
Mix vinegar, water, salt, and pickling spices (in cheesecloth) over medium heat until salt is fully dissolved.
Place peppercorns, garlic, onion, and dill in the bottom of jars.
Tightly pack pickles into jars and cover with brine.
Remove all air bubbles and clean the rim of jars, place lids, and finger-tight rings.
Place jars in boiling water bath for 10 mins.
Remove from water and cool on a towel.
Wait 2 weeks and then enjoy my friends! 😊
