Dimash is the King of emotion. The way he tells a story gets to me in the deepest parts of my soul. This song is beautiful, powerful and full of heart wrenching sadness. I appreciate the way you not only react to his singing ability but sometimes more important his ability to emote emotion to his listeners. Nothing wrong with getting teary eyed we all do. It just shows that you are human and it's a beautiful thing. I too am a Christian and also a parent and can identify with the comparison of sacrifice. Thanks again!! Jeff

To this day no matter how many times I’ve listened to the beautiful song, it still brings tears to my eyes. I love, love the Bastau performance. However when he sang this song on the Singer and was so sick, yet he gave it everything he had, his entire body, heart and soul was poured into that performance. I didn’t fully appreciate how God must have felt watching his son go through such a horrible human death until I became a father. When one of our sons had to go through a serious operation, I wished so much that it could have been me instead of him. Most parents would do anything to protect their child. Praise the Lord!!! So happy to hear that you are a Christian. I am too. On April 17, 1980 the Lord came into my heart and life. I haven't been the same since!!! I love your reactions of Dimash. Dimash is the only secular singer I listen to. A couple of years ago I was online and I saw where someone said that Dimash was the best singer in the world. And I thought to myself, "Yea, right." So I thought I would check him out. The song he sang was SOS. And when I heard him sing, I was blown away. So I started listening to some more of his performances, and then I was hooked. I have never heard anyone sing like Dimash in all my 72 years. Beautiful, amazing voice. And a great interpreter of a song. He's an amazing singer and performer. And not only that but he is a sweet, humble, and respectful young man. He loves his family, and he cares about other people, and he loves his Dears. The Lord has really gifted Dimash. I concur with every word that you, Caleb, say in your comments. Dimash's doctor advised Dimash not to sing that night, especially "no high notes." You, Caleb, are the first to have the courage of discussing issues religious, and you do it in a very mature way; I feel exactly the same urge. I've tried to do it in these channels a great number of times but without any response. Dimash himself, however, said in one of his interviews: “The beauty you see in me is a reflection of you.
