Dimash is a once in a lifetime kind of talent. I don't think I've ever heard anything quite like him. You should have a look at 'The Story of One Sky'. It's an emotional rollercoaster. Definitely worth a listen/reaction 👌🏻👍🏻

EE KANNAH EE DAY. I love this song & it just proves Dimash doesn't need a stage, glitz or an audience to be inside his music. This was in Japanese & the composer said it was the best version of his song he's ever heard from a foreigner. ''Autumn Strong'' [2017] he sang in Chinese is another with this melody, & different lyrics, based on a true story. Full version tells that story.

Here is one for you. Qaragym Ai from his digital 2021 concert. It is so beautiful. It is in Kazakh and if I recall correctly the song was composed by one of Dimash's mentors who passed away during covid. (He also does the song in honor of this mentor in a different performance). The song is about a father whose daughter passed away before she could marry etc. It is sad but he does it so beautifully and with so much emotion. This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".
