He has been invited to perform at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. But he couldn't go to Japan because of Covid. So he had to sing it from the studio in China. There he took part in the show Shine! Super Brothers. I’m not sure but I think it was his studio in China. But I do know he got a studio as a gift for his birthday. If the Japanese reactors are to be believed, Dimash sang in perfect Japanese. Some also claimed that it was better Japanese than many Japanese themselves😅. Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. My mom was at his concert in 2020, she is still very impressed. She often remembers this concert. Dimash sang live for all three hours. There were water bottles on the stage and he was calmly drinking water, talking to the audience. Everyone was in awe. Young girls rushed to his stage.. There were a lot of guards there and they protected Dimash from the girls 😁

Started my Monday morning, in the U.K. with watching your reaction . Horrid weather outside but I was just melting listening to Ikenaide. It’s hard to pick a favourite but it’s definite,y top three. Dimash is just precious. He’s added so much to my life. I’m going to see my fourth concert of his, in Budapest in may. So grateful that at age 79 I am still able to have this experience, but to all the dears that can’t get to concerts, so pleased that Dimash shares so much of his talent and hard work on you tube.

The original singer of this song praised Dimash as the only foreigner who can “get” the soul of the song right. Also, there is a Chinese version of this song called “Autumn Strong”. If you read the lyrics and the background story behind these two songs you will understand the connection. If Ikanaide was from someone who is left behind, then Autumn Strong is from someone who is leaving. Both are from the opposite pov but together they are a complete circle.

After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. Dimash is a master of the story-telling, his voice makes you feel deep emotions and takes you there where that song happened. Beautiful!! A Japanese reactor mentioned that his softness with the hard consonants is a function of how well Dimash understands and has learned the mechanics (tongue and jaw placement) of the Japanese language. Well, he sings in a lot of languages he doesn't speak. This song, the version he sang first was in Chinese, not Japanese. Autumn Strong or Late Autumn is the title and he sang it in 2017 on The Singer show. FYI his pronunciation is very good here. This song is based on real life events of Japanese woman, who lived in China during World War 2.
