Rollen, it's clear that you probably struggle with showing emotion, but it was beautiful to see. Truly getting in touch with your emotions and learning how to feel them and express them is a freeing experience. Whatever your past it has brought you to this point and you're clearly a beautiful human being inside and out. Strong men have strong emotions. Don't be afraid of them.

The thoughts that many of the people in that audience have left their homes--and, in many cases, left pets behind to fend for themselves---or are, themselves, trapped in homes surrounded by less kind individuals whose intent is to starve them into submission---is so heartbreaking most of us can hardly bear the thought. We need more people like Dimash, his mother, his audience and the two of you----and fewer like those who choose to wage war on innocent victims.

A rough description of the meaning of this song... It is told from the perspective of a young Ukrainian soldier sent away to fight in WWII. Far from home, he remembers how his mother would plant marigolds in her garden in Ukraine, while singing of her hopes and dreams. When he sees marigolds growing in the foreign land where he was sent to war, they remind him of the homeland and the mother that he misses. After the war, marigolds are planted once again in his war-ravaged homeland, as a symbol of healing and hope. Once I became aware of the history, this song moved me even more. I hope everyone there that night is okay. I pray for all of Ukraine. 🇺🇦🙏

👉 Dimash sings here, in Kiev/ Ukraine. That’s is the last concert from his world -tour ARNAU before Corona everything paralyzed. The Dears gave him a traditional Ukrainian shirt at the airport reception and Dimash wore it to everyone's amazement and delight at the opening of this concert. (whole concert on Dimash's channel) Dimash learned this Ukrainian folk song overnight for his Dears and he also sings to his mama… so touching. His mom is in the audience. She is a well-known and excellent classical singer in Kazakhstan. Dimash also loves it when his Dears sing with him and everyone in Ukraine knows this song. ARNAU - that means 'Dedication' because Dimash dedicated this tour to his Dears. Unfortunately it will be interrupted for over 2 years. The next concerts of his Arnau tour are planned for next spring (2022) in Düsseldorf / Germany and in Prague / Czechoslovak Republic. I keep my ticket as a treasure and can't wait to drive from Berlin to Prague in the spring.

Very hard not to shed a tear with this at any time, but particularly now.
