You're absolutely correct. Fire is used to symbolize rebirth, hope, the end of oppression, like the Phoenix rising from its ashes. I don't know how much of Dimash is in the scripting of his MV's but these past few years, the use of symbolism is ever present and easily detectable if one has some knowledge about these things.

Intelligent reaction and opinion. Indeed, Dimash never ceases to be proud of his country and always wishes for a better world to live in. He is someone whose feelings and opinions are politically inclined. I bet it was not a waste of time when the Kazakh president invited Dimash to join him on his presidential plane from China to Kazakhstan and talked with Dimash in his office. Who knows, one day Dimash may be pushed by circumstances to serve his country by running for public office. By the way, since childhood, Dimash has been a fan of great poets and a lover of literature.

I know I am late to watching this video but I had to make a few comments. Kazakhstan only became independent of Russian rule ( both Tzars and Soviets) in 1991. Dimash was born in 1994. The Kazakhstan people maintained their language and integrity and their religion even after centuries of domination. I believe that is why Dimash is do fervently proud of his people and Country . There are problems within the Country that blew up in I think 2022. A significant and vocal number rose up demanding reforms. At the time, Dimash encouraged the government to talk with the citizens instead of crushing them thru military intervention . I have said this before-- Dimash is not just seeking fame. He has every right to do that but he is also a true ambassador to the world for his people and a voice for peace. Dimash's education has included more than voice and music composition. His education has included all forms of performance and theater and film.

This song can relate to any country and the love its citizens have for it. It was written during the pandemic and the suffering and healing pointed at both past and present tribulations. Beautiful, heartfelt song.

Dimash dedicated this song and video to his land, people in 2020, when his teacher and mentor died of covid and people here in Kazakhstan died in large numbers, so this song is compassion for them. The moment when the pianist falls into the water is just a reference to those tragic events

BRAZIL - I've been following Dimash since the contest in China (2017) because that's when I discovered him, and I've never regretted it, on the contrary, I've never followed any artist on social media and I love hearing good news about him on Instagram, about his shows, his games and I admit that his patriotism is something beautiful and impressive, his performances about his homeland are worthy of praise, and I say that I have never heard an anthem as beautiful as that of Kazakhstan, the way Dimash sings it is magnificent. Thank you. I don't believe that the beginning voice is Dimash. I think that it is Turkish and I don't have the translation although I've seen them. Yes, this is all filmed in Kazakhstan. This is so wonderful and meaningful to Dimash. I love the change to major at the very end to give us hope. The Kobyz is spectacular. I believe that it is the oldest stringed instrument. Amazing direction from Dimash. And of course, his singing!

I've seen this one so many times (it's one of my favorites) but every time I see something else. This time, for example--the emphatic contrast of the plink of something in the lake blending into the beat marking the passage of time, contrasting with the plink of the blood dripping into the cavity in the Kobyz in the repeat of the same theme in the music, again marking the passage of time as it blends into the repeating beat of the music . It strikes me as a beautiful and symbolic touch--a picture of the land, a serene and life-filled lake, vs the pain and suffering of the Kazakh people, represented by the dripping blood. Then comes an image of sacrifice with fire, refreshed and reborn by the life-bringing renewal of the rainstorm (water has special meaning in an arid country) and the green vista at the end. A minor detail, perhaps, but very purposeful--it is all of a piece with the meaning of the piece.

Dimash also lost people, including his composition teacher. Qairan Elim is the result of a close collaboration between composer Renat Gaissin (pianist in the video) and Dimash. Dimash News tells more about the origin of the song: Renat Gaissin had read obituaries in the newspaper, and out of anxiety, the tune was born. While he was playing the melody on the studio piano, Dimash happened to hear it. He immediately announced that he wanted to sing it. They then decided to make a video for the song as well. The video is really made with thought, a real masterpiece. Qairan Elim is a prayer for one's own country, but also for the wider world. A very spiritual song. Kobyz as a shamanistic instrument fits this song really well. Together with Dimash's soft breathy tones, the effect is hypnotic. For me, this song always causes strong emotions. It works like therapy. This might even be my favorite song (although there are many).

The following video and song itself was made during the Covid time when thousands of people were dying and when this disaster will be finished was uncertain. The logic of the intro usage was to show that our land survived many disasters and wars and we will pulled through. Dimash made this song/ video as a prayer for his homeland as well as the entire Earth to live through this pandemic.

Yes, Kazakhstan has gone through a very tumultuous history, and at the time of this video, was going through Covid.
