Dimash went viral on Twitter across the world after singing this. Everyone commenting that the winner of the match was the guy who sang the Kazakh national anthem. The poor girl who sang the Mexican national anthem said in a radio interview a few days later that she was terrified and shaking when she learned she would be singing after Dimash but she did a really good job too.

He sang it before the boxing fight between Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan (Dimash's friend) and the Mexican Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. He traveled to Las Vegas at the request of his friend Golovkin just a few days before his big concert in his hometown of Almaty, Kazakhstan in September 2022. The anthem of Kazakhstan is so beautiful. I woke up extra early to see Dimash sing it. In Germany the fight was I think at 3.30 or 4.00 am. It was worth it. I couldn't believe it when I heard his voice. I was so proud when he sang the anthem, even though it's not mine and I sang it the whole day. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. The recorded images from Kazakhstan are also breathtaking. Things went crazy on Twitter after the fight. So many people wanted to know who sang the national anthem and Dears had a lot to do educating people. Love from Germany❤

@@kriknut1 Almaty is where he, his parents and grandparents live (when he's not in LA😉). Aktobe is where he was born. So I guessed hometown is the right word ❤️

Cred că o săptămână sau poate chiar mai mult, a fost viral acest început de meci de box, Dimash a fost surpriza serii totală. Toată lumea a început să caute imnul Kazakhstanului, cântărețul și de acolo o întreagă avalanșă de descoperiri în acea parte de lume. Au venit pentru un meci de box și au primit, bonus, un act artistic la superlativ. Discuțiile au fost ample, că de ce a cântat pe muzică și nu acapela, dar esențialul a rămas, Dimash a șocat o întreagă sală. ❤❤

This was in Las Vegas in September..Canelo vs GGG (Dimash's friend). The anthem trended on Twitter and Dimash gained tons of new followers! Then he flew back to Almaty and gave his epic Stranger concert four days later. That's Dimash! Thanks for the great reaction.

Dimash se propuso mostrarle al mundo su hermoso país de Kasajistán, y lo logró, hoy hay muchas de todas partes del mundo, estudiando el idioma kasajo, personas viajando para conocer ese maravilloso país una cultura diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados los Occidentales. If there is just one country you could visit, you definitely should go to Kazakhstan. I was there, travelling around, for three weeks and l have never met such hospitality. And the nature and the architecture was mind blowing. I love Kazakhstan and I will return as soon as possible so I hope that Dimash will have a concert there soon ❤ And of course, his concert was unforgettable ❤

This was for the third Canelo vs GGG fight in Las Vegas ! GGG (Golovkin) is Kazakh and Dimash was invited to perform the anthem :) I don’t know anything about boxing but apparently the fight was boring and Dimash’s performance was the most interesting part of the evening. The girl who sang the Mexican anthem a capella did a great job too !!

Her take on ours is one of the best I've heard since Whitney's. I wish Dimash would do a live version of this. For this type of venue, it's no surprise this was not sung live. The sound production was well beyond what that announcer's microphone is capable of.
