This was in Vegas last year. Us Dears didn’t even know he was flying into Vegas until 3 days beforehand. He made no announcement or asked for any fanfare. He just flew 15 hours from Kazakhstan to the USA to sing the anthem and then quietly left. He was honored to do it and didn’t make it about himself. Twitter was ablaze that night. People tweeting “ the real winner of the fight was the guy that sang the Kazakh national anthem”

To make his parents and his country proud, to represent Kazakhstan. Perhaps noone has done as much as Dimash has done to put Kazakhstan on the world map _ for all the right reasons. He takes that task seriously and conducts it with such pride and love while also being inclusive of the rest of the world through hus growing fan base. It's hard to put into a few sentences how great Dimash is and how important and necessary Dimash' message is. My wish is that everybody in the world gets to experience the Dimash magic and feel Dimash' heart and soul. For many people, the experience is literally life changing. Not withstanding the all important message of peace and unity, I know that within the first few seconds experiencing his vocals, all we knew and understood about music will be changed forever. There are many videos of his whole performance, it was awesome. So much so that the whole stadium roared with happiness at the end of his performance, all fans of both boxers. He also trended on twitter instantly as everyone watching in TV tweeted about Dimash ❤ Dimash travelled half way round the world twice to sing here and get back in time for his epic 4 hour long concert in Almaty Kazakhstan. Dimash is so great, and he and Gennady Golovkin are great friends. He said he would sing the Anthem for him, and he kept his promise. 💖💘

Kazakhstan has only been independent for a few years longer than Dimash has been alive! He is part of the first generation of Kazakh kids to grow up in their OWN country. I think that brings a stronger and fiercer (in a good way) pride in their country. They value it more because they haven't always had it. And Dimash's parents and grandparents raised him with folk songs and stories from their land and instilled in him the importance of their culture. 🇨🇦

Dimash's pride in his country, heritage and culture is so adorable but most of all it is healthy. National pride and patriotism unfortunately can so very easily be turned to hate of anything "different".
