💥An American, we grew up in Kazakhstan and my father still calls him "rock n roll boy" to tease us !. At 16 we were all around the same age and he'd made a video singing with a guitar player and a drummer and Dad saw it on state tv. We got hold of a bandit tape of him singing this song, in China in concert I think, all of us crowded around watching, about 20,21 laughing, pushing and shoving, will you look at him ! So proud. My sister and some friends were attending uni with him, he was, and still is our guy and still, so proud. 🌿🍃

И третья песня посвящена его учителю, уважаемому композитору, которого унесла пандемия. Он спел его песню, которую он исполнял еще юношей. Но КАК он ее спел!!! Dimash composed the music as his masters thesis. He told a Taiwanese lyricist what he wanted to convey, and the lyrics were written in Chinese. Then a Chinese company copyrighted the song and wouldn't give Dimash permission to perform it. It took a few years to sort out, I think there was a lawsuit involved, but eventually Dimash was able to regain the rights to his own song.

He does not back down from what he believes. He appeared on a short lived talent show here in America called World's Best. He was told he would not be required to compete against children which in his culture (as it should be in ours) adults encourage children, not compete against them. Of course, he blew past the adults and they tried to pit him against two children, one of which he knows from his country. He explained to the judges that he was going to withdraw from the competition to allow the children to move forward thus giving up a million dollar prize he would have surely won. Two of the three judges , especially Ru Paul treated him terribly on air. He held his own and did so very respectfully in the face of their ugliness. He did not back down and the money meant nothing compared to his integrity and cultural beliefs. I loved him before he did that but after even more. A real man.

This song was written for his Masters degree, as part of the thesis. He is now studying for his PhD. I think of the knee pads every single time he falls to his knees, just like you do! There'll come a time when his signature falls will no longer be possible though. I'm sure we will all miss it, but we won't wince for him any more which will be good. 🤣🤣🤣 I watched a wonderful documentary about the Dimash Dears the other day. There are groups of Dears all over the world raising money for charities and sharing what they are doing in order to inspire others to do the same. They are spreading peace and love and compassion everywhere. It is a movement that he inadvertently started. It is building and it is beautiful. Imagine what the world could be like if we all do this for each other? It will transform the human race. For those who think it cannot be done, I would urge them to think again.
