The song is called «OH, MY SACRED LAND» («QAIRAN ELIM»). Dimash sings in Kazakh. The song is dedicated not only to Dimash's homeland - Kazakhstan, but also to the entire planet Earth. Earth is the birthplace of all humanity. The ancient Kazakh instrument KOBYS has two strings and makes mystical sounds. When Dimash "burns" it means that his soul can "burn" for the sake of the Motherland. Blood runs, it means that you can shed blood for the Motherland. When a pianist dies, it means that only death can make a real musician stop making music. It's an allegory. Filming took place in Kazakhstan. THIS SONG IS PRAYER! Prayer for our land, for the people, for our children: "The universe, help humanity!". /// Before the song, the older narrator (but it's not Dimash's voice) speaks: «The Great Steppe! Ek loof jou genade lande. I praise your vast expanses from Altai to Atyrau, from Yayi to Ili, from Alatau to Saryarka. They are silent witnesses to my happy times. I praise the Great Steppe, the cradle of the mighty Turkic world. Hey, silent world! Don't be silent, holding your breath. There are descendants behind you. Nothing stopped them in times of severe litigation and contractions. The Great Steppe has generous masters who have not broken down or exhausted before the dodgy temper of the fickle world. Their hearts are magnanimous and the souls are noble. They have a patron, about whom no stranger and whom no stranger feels».

Dimashes songs will be a legacy and a musical study for generations like Bach. Mozart, and other great artist that are studied be new artists and music lovers, he will be course work of mastering vocalization, control, emotive, and other expert attributes. He will not just be a great singer, his talent will out live him and be used by music professors teaching students the art of the exceptional musical performance. I am sure of it, but I will not be alive to see that day.

I have to admit that the West, Europe and Asia are 20 years behind in the development of music videos as are that group of creators of visual music art that is behind the productions of Dimash Kudaibergen ... what these people produce is pure magic musical to a very high state of what Disney and the rest of the world cant offer ... it is perfection in every way, virtuous and committed musicians and the emblematic and indecipherable voice for others, the greatest vocal enigma in our history ... There is not a single Dimash production that is not a pleasure trip to my ears.

During the pandemic Dimash and Renat (pianist composer) lost 2 mentors and out of frustration they composed this prayer for his country and the world. The dears were shocked and crying and it had been awhile for Dimash to put out some content. I cried my eyes out and I couldn’t watch it but we did get it to a million views and Dimash helped direct it so I appreciate the song now . Thank you for promoting Dimash

I'm not sure if you know, but Dimash directed this video. The song pays homage to his nation's suffering through history - and through COVID. Dimash lost a couple of his close friends and mentors to Covid, so the suffering is firsthand for him.

In one of the interviews with Dimash, he mentioned that his country is only 28 years old. It gained independence from Russia only recently. His burning desire for his country's future to be prosperous and peaceful, is depicted in this song. The history of Kazakhstan is filled with conflicts and it's people experienced lot of hardship through the ages. Dimash also feel a measure of responsibility towards his people and want to use his talent to benefit them.

Magistral.

This song is extremely deep, full of symbolism .. The grays at the beginning to finish crossing the mountain varying from gray to colors, with key change included. . The voice with that guttural moan, similar to that of the wolf, that melts, connects with nature ... The climax, painful, blood, fire, lightning ... The plea from the pain, to ask for the good, for the Peace. Even the special effects, like the dripping drop of blood, or Dimash's burning body, is, I think, on purpose, made to look unreal, to represent past suffering, as (unreal) memory, as testimony , so that sw does not repeat in the future. It is a sad but calm (introspective) and hopeful song, which dimash created and sings with all his soul. Masterly

Thank you for your reaction to "Qairan Elim"! I love the song and the MV! The song was partly inspired by the pandemic. It is a prayer for Dimash's homeland and the world. It reminds of past adversities, which the Kazakh people had to endure. The images of blood, death, and burning fire express the pain and grief of the people, which artists like Dimash and the authors of the song recreate in their art. The song calls for resilience and hope. It ends on a more hopeful note with the allusion to the phoenix risen from the ashes, the sun and the colors of the last images.

This bowl-neck lute played with a bow is is an old Turkic stringed instrument and called Kobys or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak. The Kobys is the oldest string instrument in the world and, according to a German scientist, it spread beyond the borders of the nomadic area of Central Asia and became the prototype of all European string instruments. (Turkic means: The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups from Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa who speak Turkic languages.) A legend about Kobyz says that this instrument was created by the great steppe narrator Korkyt-Ata, who lived in the 10th century and that the tool is charged with magical and even mystical properties and sounds like animal voices. In addition, the Kazakh people believed that the spirits of their ancestors spoke to them through this music. The old outlook and piety towards their instruments and music was constantly preserved in traditional Kazakh society and ensured the highest spiritual level of musical art and a special respectful attitude towards musical instruments. Simple people, for example, did not dare to touch the shaman's Kobyz. It is said: The balance between the courses of life and death on earth can be maintained by playing the Kobyz.

Good reaction my friend...Dimash is the best singer of the world...The passion and dedication when he is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world (For Dimash and me)...She is a lyric soprano with a great vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on KZfaq covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Floor Jansen, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....Thank you.

This was Dimash’s first Video as a director. He included so much symbolism. The many rivers coming together as one for unity. Dimash being “tempered” by fire like steel. He said difficulties temper( make stronger ). He pours his soul out for his beloved Kazakhstan. And I find it interesting he ends the song in a major key, with the view of light of dawn coming over the mountain as a sign of hope.

Josh you do make me laugh. 🤣 Who knows how or why? Maybe when you combine musical genetics with a full time music education from a small child and a strong family support with no one telling you that something is impossible and you should have a backup plan, when your whole life is lived in music and you have the intelligence to absorb every piece of information like a sponge then you get a Dimash? He lives and breathes music, luckily there's enough people around him to deal with the rudimentaries of life so he can just get on with pushing the envelope.

You're pretty. You don't look stinky. You're observant because most people seem to miss the drip of water on the lake. But most of all, I love your positive attitude. Thanks for brightening my day.

The live performance from the Digital Show is also highly recommended. It is even more emotional.

Wowwww this song left me speechless.. tears burst out of my eyes.. what a strong message.. it seams that Dimash is fighting alone. We must all agree and join the struggle for our planet for our lives and for the future of our children. Big evil came down on Earth… Fight people fight
