I am a stone cold rocker chick from the 60s/70s and never thought that when I heard this guy a couple months ago that I would be stunned, in awe, and smitten by his vocals and emotions and his way of delivery. IMHO he is the best singer in the world at this point.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan and comes from a very musical family. He started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/Opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master's class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music." He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now, and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. I've been watching a LOT of Dimash reactions and performances for several years running now, and I can tell you right up front, not everything he sings is my type of music, either. The operative word, though, from a huge consensus of music professionals (of which I'm not one) all over the globe is that this voice is GENERATIONAL -- that is, there doesn't seem to be one like it on Earth but once a generation, and with my longtime love of all things best and excellent, I was self-sold immediately on the idea of jamming as much of this guy's singing into my headspace as I could manage in as little time as possible. It has been for me a massively educational experience -- not to mention immensely enjoyable -- but there is one thing I'd like to say that you can't get from watching one video, & that is that Dimash sings in EVERY genre, often with four or five different ones mixed freely into one song. He sings much lower AND much higher than he does in this song. He sings in 12 languages and plays 10 instruments. And on and on and on, as others will surely inform you if you stay around to read. Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. By the way the prize was of 1,000,000.00 dollars.

I discovered Dimash over 4 years ago with his earlier performance of this song SOS 2017 in the annual Chinese competition of professional singers I Am Singer. Dimash was a non Chinese special invitee that OPENED the annual show with SOS as an unknown. After that he required bodyguards for the remainder of the competition. Ultimately he finished SECOND mainly due to the fact that he was not Chinese. The was negative blowback as a result forced the show to change the rules the following year and the special invitee that year Jessie J won it. Dimash is a phenom. Suggestion: resist the temptation to view his newer releases for now and react to Sinful Passion from 2018. I promised you wont regret it. There are different "out of this world" versions of this song with Dimash on YT, all of them much better than Vitas version. Btw, Dimash sang Vitas "Opera2" at a Chinese singing competition in 2017, where he surpassed Vitas and won that round in the competition. He was then banned by Vitas from ever singing it in public again.

As you have already observed, he has an amazing range. Every performance will impress you in some way, but I recommend you begin with "Stranger" or "Sinful Passion", or even the official music video of "Screaming" might be more to your taste. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 27 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He is about to start his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. Dimash Kudaibergen sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), rap, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater. His 7 octave range (C2-D8 whistle tone) and 10 semitones is beyond comparison. Kudaibergen is well-recognized for his extremely wide and developed vocal range from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8. This sequence shows his lowest note sung in vocal fry and chest voice, his highest note hit with his full modal voice, his highest note hit using falsetto, and his highest overall note, hit using the whistle register. In terms of full notes hit, Dimash has used growls and frys to hit spoken notes around and below C2, some of which may or may not be counted as part of his range. This includes an Eb2, an A1 and an F#1, various other frys around Eb2 and D2, a G#1 and a Bb1. Therefore, if counted, those notes make his range expand to 7 octaves and 8 semitones.

Great reaction 'sonic attack' is right😂 There's a lot of info here for you from other fans to digest. He calls his fans 'Dears' of which I am one from the UK. I would add Dimash is one of the kindest humans on the planet, he does many good works through his charities which apart from his music, is why he's adored worldwide. He's a very respectful person especially to children and the elderly which is the culture in Kazakhstan, he's also a strong compatriot. You won't at the moment hear him on radio, he's an independent artist DimashAli, is his production company which his Father heads. Both parents are famous singers in Kazakhstan. Dimash also plays many musical instruments. Be careful with some of his videos especially the more recent as yoola may copyright them but do check out his youtube channel. Some reactors have written fair use across them or blurred them in some way Dears won't mind, as we've watched them already many times. If you continue to react to Dimash be prepared to hear from hundreds of Dears in your comments, we love a good convert, we also like you to carry on to the end of the video as you'll see his humble reactions with his fans and get to know his character better. He has fan clubs in 142 different countries including America. He was already famous in KZ when in 2017 at the age of 22 he took part in a famous Chinese singing competition as a wild card. Overnight, he became famous around the world this was after singing SOS his first song on the show, the one you've just reacted to. Now at 27yrs he has matured and continues to carve out his very successful career. Switching to different styles and gaining new octaves, he's a hard worker and practices he has said at least 3 hours per day. A good tip I think is to react regularly or consistently if you stick with him, so Dears always know when to check in for Dimash.
