Thank you for this ! So many people saying he doesn't sing live because he is so damn good ! He is really amazing and the work behind his talent is immense . A lot of people dont understand the level of dedication he put into perfecting his craft . Should earn him at least respect from the people that don't admire him . I adore the way he self conducts .

Dimash has that effect on so many people, many of whom are surprised that he draws those tears out of them. He loves us with his voice and he is so talented that we can't really take it all in. Add to that, his beautiful looks, and his wonderful kind personality and I just don't have room here for all of what I could say about Dimash, but to have all of this in one person is overwhelming. I have to hear him every day. I have to see him every day. He has that effect on us all. I wouldn't have known that Chinese people are so kind and loving, I wouldn't have known anything about Kazakhstan, I wouldn't have seen how one person can affect that whole world like Dimash can. He carries a lot of power. He makes me see that if we didn't have the division of Government, how much we could learn from each other all over the world. He is in his own category and I don't like it when I hear people trying to compare him with anyone. He cannot be compared.

I get the impression that Dimmash, in this presentation, makes an effort to contain his voice, being a closed and small space, because he doesn't sing with the volume and power that he normally sings.

You asked in an early reaction video of Dimash for people to comment on our experiences since first finding Dimash's music. I'd become quite cynical in the past decade or so about the way the world has been changing. I'm a child of the 60's and don't much like how things have been going since then. Then I found Dimash 6 months ago. My first song of his was the 2017 version of S.O.S. I was so floored at this young man's talent that I watched all his performances daily. I only speak English but now I can sing all his songs in every language he performs them in. I don't have a clue what I'm saying but it gives me joy to sing them with him. I was beginning to wonder if the world still held a belief in God but after finding Dimash I have to believe that there is truly a higher power or how could this man have such a talent. He moves you with every performance down in your soul. Sometimes when I'm listening to him I just start crying like a baby. His music and emotion reaches right down inside you and you get goose bumps. He is magical and I look forward to watching him perform for many years to come. I love him. He's not just talented he is a wonderful person as well.

Gracias

William, you're so refreshing as a Dimash reactor, and I would guess as a human too, though I don't know you. For me, even after following Dimash closely for 5+ years, performances I've seen thousands of times still bring me to tears. SOS at Cannes is one of those. It's not only because he sings beautifully, but because of how vulnerable he seems. At only 22-years-old he's so comfortable in his own skin, surrounded by strangers who may or may not understand what they're hearing. Here are some things I've come to understand about the live "controversy". At least 95% of Dimash's fans know that he doesn't sing live in every single one of his thousands of different recorded performances you can find on youtube, and they understand why. The 5% (or less) of his fans who don't believe he's ever not singing live aren't bothering anyone, so why shouldn't they be allowed to peacefully enjoy Dimash's artistry in whatever ways they experience him? What's more challenging to understand is the small collection of angry people who've devoted countless hours of their precious time to following Dimash around on social media. Their sole purpose seems to be sewing seeds of destruction wherever they find joyful feelings about Dimash's singing. Honestly, we've watched them spend years doing this! We each will have our own thoughts about what motivates such people - but I try not to give them very much energy or attention. They're dark and sad - the very opposite of everything that is Dimash. He has nothing to prove to them, and I try to follow his example.

This question again? Why does it matter if his lives are so good that they sound like studio or better? His voice and personality are real. Just enjoy him, people, and be happy if sometimes he doesn't sing live because it only means his voice will last longer.

Dimash's tone is so pure and angelic it doesn't seem real. God has gifted us with a voice of an angel and his voice moves me in the same way it moves you. I close my eyes and listen to Dimash and at times I just break out into tears because of how beautiful his sound is. No singer has ever has ever done that to me the way Dimash does. He really does reach in and grab your soul in the most beautiful way. Dimash's voice is special in a way that can't be described. I think you meant to say that those people realize that they are in the presence of greatness. From "Dears" to "Tears". Looking forward to more of Dimash from you.........

Hi William, have you already reacted to the other live Dimash performance in France when he received and deserved a long, standing ovation? It's actually his most watched video on youtube. Also, I am sure you know that he did a masterful job singing the Kazakh national anthem a couple of days ago in front of a sold-out arena in Las Vegas of boxing fans who had gathered for an international event. Here is the link for Dimash's other live performance of "SOS" in France for you or anyone else who hasn't already seen it. It's actually an incredibly good performance of that song, even though I understand he may have been sick on that day. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/apqarMiUuN3InHk.html You may or may not know that Dimash was inspired to sing "SOS" as a result of the story of Gregory Lemarchal, immensely talented young French reality show contestant who died at the age of 23 from cystic fibrosis while awaiting a lung transplant. Gregory, knowing his days were numbered, sang this song at least twice in front of adoring French audiences just prior to his death. He had less than 25 percent of his lung capacity available to do these performances. They are well worth watching (and crying over) as well. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fa2SY7aTmtLapWg.html&ab_channel=mhariha and kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fJ1pZbuLvK69e6M.html&ab_channel=MirouBoumehed

No one can sing like Dimash i, all 6 octaves are very strong, he has so many tones that he can pick and choose whatever he likes. But forget about that because it is mostly how he delivers the song , he paints the song as he goes he is also very theatrical and pour so much emotions to it. Dimash have just way too much colors in his crayon box I wish I can have some of it.

I don't know if you'd call him "one in a million" because I doubt there are othersingers like him or other singers in the past that have his abilities. The thing I love about the Cannes performance is that he makes some little mistakes here and there and manages to recover from them. Also he changes the ending by lowering the octave, possibly because his voice wasn't doing exactly as he wanted it to and he maybe didn't want to push it to the higher octave in case it went out of key. He knows himself so well and adjusts his singing constantly to make the best out of what he has to offer on the day. Anyone else might have tried to push it too far and fail. It makes him all the more human in my eyes. Great respect to the man. This was a great song to react to, thank you x

Hello Annie 😘 Indeed, I love this one because it’s so up close. I had an entertainment show for years which specifically did this kind of “working the room” so I can really relate to it. People are amazed when you get that close. So often we see performers mikes away at a gig!! Also, one may have to reign it in a little but when you know the song so well, you can make spur-of-the-moment changes that are suitable (eg down the octave so as not to overpower the room.) I love how he is always so precisely on pitch. He knows where every note is!! Masterful. And rather other-worldly too. Will

@Just want the Best voice I agree, he sounded great in Los Angeles. I’m so glad he’s away from BG Talent - we’re lucky they didn’t permanently damage his voice. You’re right, the way they overworked him can only be called abusive. He lost 35 pounds, had frequent throat infections, coughed up blood, and looked exhausted much of the time. When “The Happy Years” TV show in France wanted him to sing live, they flew him from China to France and back again in the middle of practicing for “I Am Singer”. His flight arrived late in France, so they threw him on the back of a motorcycle in the rain, rushed him to the studio, and put him straight on the stage to sing SOS live. I don’t know how he made it through that performance, he sounded so weak. The way they treated him is indefensible.

Dimash has that impact on people. He has a quiet confidence, but a steadfast humility. His microphone use is incredible. It is wonderful to witness your discovery of Dimash’s talent. I have heard that when Dimash has performed “live” on Russian television in the past, performances are monitored and controlled so that artists cannot surprise them and say something unauthorized. In other words, lip synced. Whether this is true or not, I don’t claim to know. However, in communist countries, it doesn’t surprise me if it is so. I have watched performances where Dimash has been sick and he adapts. Truly incredible artist. Cheers from Canada!

It is such a pleasure to watch your reactions. I appreciate your musical expertise and the way you explain things. The people there know the magic they are witnessing. It brings me to tears to see him singing in this video. Dimash is a true artist. ♥️

Thank you. Dimash's voice is too big for that little venue! :D Dimash sings all the time and would never choose not to sing live. He loves to sing. When he has been in Russia, he has to follow their rules etc. Also, I have heard 2 xs where someone made the horrible decision to put auto tune on a part of his performance, and it is awful and doesn't help his sound at all. Dimash wants his voice out there and unaltered. I have seen/heard so many of his performances that there is no doubt about his live singing. You must listen to one of his concerts or performances from his concerts - which are very live and stunningly amazing. Try this one, 'Daybreak', there are 2 performances. The 1st one he is on 'The Singer' Chinese show in 2017. He was very ill and had completely lost his voice and had throat injections before the performance. He gave a heart wrenching vocal and immediately lost his voice afterwards and was in much pain. Then after that show, Dimash had his own concert in Bastau. He was quite healthy and his performance of 'Daybreak' was jaw dropping. It is incredible. Please listen to them and compare. They are both live and you will be AMAZED :D when comparing sick Dimash to healthy Dimash. Here's the 1st from Gloria Wu, who does a great job of telling the behind the scenes, and also the heartbreaking true story that is 'Daybreak': kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q753eZqnzKu9e58.html and here's the Bastau 'Daybreak': kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNGKh62bsdWoZmg.html

🆘 The song itself is from Starmania a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976. 👼🏻 Gregory Lemarchal was a young French singer who was the inspiration for DIMASH to sing 🆘 “SOS d'un terrien en detresse" Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age, Gregory defined all odds and won the fourth series of the singing contest Star Academy. He became an overnight sensation in France and went on to have a successful career. He was known for "La voix d'un ange"- the voice of an angel. Gregory succumbed to his illness at the age of 23. 💔 This video is a tribute to his memory. 🥺😢😭💔❤️‍🩹❤️ So that there in no confusion as too “WHY DIMASH” sings this song. It is the “Tribute to Gregory” and his message. The meaning of the lyrics in Gregory life are what holds Dimash’s heart✨🤍❤️💛❤️🤍✨ PLEASE take a 👀 THE STORY BEHIND 🆘 👼🏻”Angel Gregory" 🇫🇷 French with subtitles kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ptabhcl6tc-rgmg.html IT’S WHERE DIMASH GETS HIS ✨“ANGEL WINGS”✨ ❤️2U&2ALLU❤️🦌🦌💫🌎🇺🇸

I love this video as it shows the power of Dimash. People keeps talking while he sings, so full of themselves until they realize that they are experiencing something rare and really special and all gets quiet and focus on him. He gets everyone quiet and people are even hurrying into the room to be able to see who is singing. This song is from a french/canadian rockopera named: Starmania from the mid 70's and the original singer is Daniel Balavoine. His original version can also be found on youtube if you are interested in hearing the difference and what Dimash added to it.

I always suggest people search for Dimash acapella clips if they have any curiosity about how he sounds without a mic. It's truly amazing to hear the qualities of his voice both with and without electronic projection. Even if you don't react to it I really do suggest watching some acapella clips of him. There are some really amazing ones and there are compilations that are out there too. Whenever there's a backstage acapella clip that comes out from his concerts or shows its always amazing to see new ad libs or generally just hearing his voice acapella as he gets older is truly stupendous. Thank you for your videos, really enjoying your insights to Dimash especially.

❤❤I loved that thank you - what a lovely, special and intimate performance. I just especially love the way he tailored it to suit the venue and the situation. He knew he couldn't belt out his usual more operatic style if you like, because it would have been too much, an probably deafen everyone LOL so he adapted it and it was just so lovely. I loved it. Thankyou for sharing with your beautiful observations over the top of it. Don't worry, he has that effect on me too. most days if you were here with me you can see me blubbering over one of his videos. ❤❤
