Dimash was 22 (almost 23) in the SOS and Opera 2 songs at the Chinese "I Am Singer" competition (May birthday). This song was in late 2021 so he was 27 at the time and as is typical with male singers, his low range is filling in. It's such a treat! I can practically guarantee he has been working hard at growing his low range, since he takes great care of his voice and makes sure that he develops all its potential. He has the classical training and plenty of expert advisors for maintaining, growing and protecting his voice. That's how he got to this crazy ability. He does this kind of stuff live constantly. A little less during the pandemic. So he doesn't get much help from technology. I can tell he is using reverb and/or echo and he is probably using compression since it is standard procedure with audio engineers. On the released recordings the engineers probably clean up the in-breath sounds some, but he is rather stealthy on his own. Some think that there is some auto-tune on released recordings, but I'm not sure it is anything significant. You might have difficulty stopping an audio engineer from cleaning up a couple loose notes but I don't think Dimash would let them get heavy handed with it. He is not controlled by a recording contract and fully owns his performances in most cases. Live use of autotune would be very risky, so that is very unlikely.

Dimash is big on thank you's. I suspect he knows how to say thank you in about 15 languages. He sings in 13, so he would have to be ready for at least that many native audiences. Yes! This is in English. And his pronunciation has gotten better. His "th" sounds were pretty good, and those are the hardest for Asian speakers because they don't have that sound in most Asian languages.
