Dimash was away from home alone for the first time & they all took him under their wings & called him foreign little brother. Except the connection was stronger with & they ended up calling each other father & son. They are still close to this day. Terry Lin would be the first to say Dimash is much better singer than him. You know how humble Dimash is. He really does not like anyone comparing anybody. Especially him. He still takes lessons & practices everyday. Half the time I have no idea what the words mean, but he sure makes me feel them. Love to watch his face & neck, too. But you should know that Terry Lyn, being able to match almost every high note with Dimash, is twice TWICE as old. I think he is 57 or older. The man is Dimash's father as far as age is concerned. You always make me laugh with your observations about fashion. Dimash is very intense and to be honest once he starts singing, he would look fashionable in a potato sack. Terry Lin was super popular in China long before Dimash met him on the Singer. 🥰🇨🇦 PS. It is not a violation if the microphone gave consent. Every microphone would say yes💐💐💐

Dimash promised to perform at this concert, but it got postponed to the day after a national Kazakhstan holiday where Dimash had official events scheduled already. Terry Lin did not expect he could make it. Dimash surprised him by taking a late night flight afterwards and arrived while Lin was on stage performing. I really like Terry, he has been and is a huge mentor and supporter of Dimash....he even surprised Dimash during one of DQ's recording sessions and delivered a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to Diamsh. They are very close friends. Terry is HUGE in China, he is a very kind and warm hearted man and friend for Dimash!! BUT I agree 100%. When Dimash sings it simply ooozzzes and pours and explodes out of the very depths of his soul. I never EVER get moved to tears by other singers no matter how "great", but I can not help or stop my heart and eyes from welling up when Dimash sings.....he just "hits" you as you say, in a much deeper way and a large part of that is his body language and emotive facial expressions....... ❤‍🔥

Thank you for your reaction. Terry Lin kind of became a "father" figure for Dimash during the Singer competition and a deep friendship grew out of it. He's often referred to as "Papa Lin." He loved this song and for him to sing it with Dimash....even though Dimash "killed" it...was an achievement for him. Terry Lin is 56 and a famous singer in his own right. Him and Dimash met on the Chinese show singer and became very close. He acted like a dad to Dimash. Dimash thinks very highly of him. Terry invited Dimash to sing with him on this occasion. It’s hard to compare Dimash to anyone and I know you meant no disrespect but I think Dimash would be upset about the remarks concerning terry. Though Dimash is amazing other singers have their strengths and don’t need to be compared You can praise a singer without putting another down. You're 100% correct that Dimash is on another level. It's almost criminal how Dimash just wipes Terry -- and anyone else -- off the stage. From 10:27 to 10:47, Dimash barely sings a note. I'm speculating that he stayed quiet because he wanted Terry to have the spotlight. Dimash knows that the moment he starts up again, he's going to destroy Terry, again, even if he tries not to.
