Great reaction and yes, his lower register sometimes leaves you with the feeling of awe like where did that come from. The fact that he can bring that full chest voice as high as he does is just remarkable. Igor must be the happiest composer in the world to have a vocalist as talented as Dimash, he doesn't have to worry about how he writes a song for one person as Dimash can sing it.

Thank you! This is my favourite duet that Dimash has performed. The similarities in Aida and Dimash's timbre and vibrato are unreal. When she's in mezzo range and Dimash is in alto, both of them singing in covered, dark tones, it's challenging to distinguish between the two of them. Their harmonies are beautiful, but when they hit those unison notes I get chills. The final, highest note is taken by Dimash, but so similar are their voices, even in the soprano range, that it sounds like Aida! Stunning.

Aida is taking the final highest note, and Dimash is alongside her in high tenor :) I too thought it was Dimash taking the high note, then I heard his tenor note behind Aida. But yeah, her high note sounded exactly like he does it, or rather, other times when he hits a note like that, he sounds exactly like her :)

Hello, PrymalChaos!!! PLAYING WITH FIRE. Ella luce super sexy!!!!!Gracias, desde ya y muchos cariños desde ARGENTINA!!!!

Mainly Dimash is a baritone as far as I've read about his range. Aida is a Tatar by nationality and her mother tong is very close to Kazakh language. So both Dimash and Aida have lots in common phonetically and they both still speak Russian and both have classical opera training by Russian standards. And both Kazakh and Tatar people have their own cultural and national singing styles which are also pretty much match each other, coz of language and cultural similarities. And I think those are the main reasons why they sounds so well with each other. I agree about her voice, she sounds so well and her voice is so airy and deep. Both of them are very talented singers and beautiful people. Just love their duet.

It always surprises me when there is surprise at Dimash's deep full classical notes when we know he's been classically trained since age 5! Or is it simply that we are so 'attuned' to / in love with his highest register? ( Both Lara & Aida joked pre this concert that if either of them fell ill - Dimash could do ALL their parts. Apparently they all fell about with the giggles at this. But I hear Lara was actually ill but went on anyway. ) But also; Dimash has been further developing his Baritone / Bass range, as we can hear in Stranger too . I skipped over this one initially - wasn't really to my taste - so revisiting it through your knowledge set was really interesting. I learned a lot! Thank you. And Yes - Rapidly becoming a huge fan of Aida. From her first couple of notes in Ti Amo Cosi I knew we were in the presence of Greatness. # Igor is a maestro of Composition but do you also want to hear Igor Sing??? { I'm trying to find that clip again for you. It's in a Russian Concert some years back - with Lara performing. 😃}

👉 Aida Garifullina (* 1987), a Tatar woman from Russia is a world-famous opera star and Prima Donna at the Vienna Opera (Austria). Since 2017 she also has Austrian citizenship. This event took place on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoi (here pianist) in 2019. Can there be a nicer birthday? So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other famous singers. Most of the songs in this concert were by him. Igor Krutoy (means in Eng. Igor Cool), *1954 in Ukrainian SSSR), singer and songwriter in Ukrainian, Honored Artist and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is a world- famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. And not to forget, Lilia Vinogradova wrote the grandios lyrics and is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. They created the cycle for DA Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others. When she asked why she did it in Italian, the poet replied: “First, Italian is by definition the international language of music, the language that allows the vocalist to open up as much as possible. This is the best language for singing... And secondly, I. Y. Krutoy and me have a well-established tradition of writing most of our works in Italian when creating in the crossover genre.” Lilia Vinogradova says about Dimash: 'Imagine a diamond that is born in the bowels of the earth - And now it appears in the light of God, and people have the opportunity to look at it, touch it, and enjoy it. Dimash’s natural talent is akin to such a unique gem…. Nothing is more important in art than identity… And it’s not even the number of octaves that Dimash covers with his voice, not the technical capabilities, but the extent to which his soul, the scale of his personality, his mind, intellect and feelings can match his technical, vocal data… And now we've added Dimash as a new element to our creative symbiosis. Very young, something completely different, new, but insanely interesting, he completely has disarmed us, captivated and charmed us with its novelty…“ (dimashnews) Dimash sings 5 songs at this event: - Olimpico (solo): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZepftmjyp2clJc.html - Passione (solo): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n7B7h6iHs7fDgIk.html - Know (solo): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d557nNZluK-8g4U.html - Ulisse (duet) with Aida Garifullina: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z56cnJOS08rMnYk.html - Ti Amo Cosi terzet with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jseBecmiqJnQnok.html - Backstage video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZrCXY6ijzMy5fas.html - Whole concert: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gN52fKyfvdfFd58.html

Great reaction, very good insights! I just need to add a little information. Igor is Ukrainian,(this complicates his current situation unfortunately) but it is true that he lived half his life in Russia, and obviously he was influenced by Russian culture. She worked with big international stars for years, like Lara Fabian (she also wrote several songs for her) Andrea Bocheli (who also attended this concert) The other thing she said about great trust. It was really needed between Aida and Dimash (and, of course, Lara) because before the concert there was only 1 -- you can see,, - they had one rehearsal day, and that's it. But it also shows that they are blood professionals. Thanks for the reaction, greetings from Hungary

It does them both a disservice to attempt to turn their collaboration into a competition. I think they sound great together. Dimash has the vocal dexterity to sing in way that synchs well with other vocals. I noticed when he sang in a trio with Aida and Lara Fabian, that he adjusted his vibrato to meld his voice with each singer as they sang together. He has done the same here with their vibratos matching very well. It's almost an embarrassment of riches, with two such beautiful people, who posssess incredible talent. The kicker is that Dimash for sure, is a wonderful human being as well. I suspect that Aida is as well.

Thank you for another great reaction and analysis. Another talent that Dimash has is his ability to blend his voice with the singer he's singing with. I love his voice quality in all registers but the most impressive is the transition between them. Btw maestro Igor Krutoy is from Ukrain. As far as Dimash, there are no language, religion, culture or any other limit. Dimash loves his country but he loves every other country in the world. That's why Dears are the biggest family from more than 100 countries. I suggest Know Vocalise Arnau Tour Kiev because there're no words. No words needed! Have a nice day.

🤣🤣 ‘Dimash is a Smorgasboard’ That’s amazing! As far as the title, there is an unspoken rule on KZfaq that clickbait titles are the only thing that actually work for the algorithm. I quietly hope that if people do click on the video what they find is an insightful and entertaining piece of content. So much so that they forget the inflammatory nonsense that brought them there. 😝 I hate doing it, but I put a lot of work into this channel and honestly it can be the difference between a video tanking or getting thousands of views. If fact when you upload a video and it isn’t performing as well as others you have done, KZfaq even makes a suggestion that you should try changing the title to something that will grab peoples attention.

If you’re interested, Lara Fabian sings a beautiful duet with Dmitri Horostovsky called “ toi et moi”, this performance of Ulisse made me think about it. Dmitri is an Baritone, I personally would love for Dimash to tackle this song in a duet with Lara.

It absolutely is a beautiful experience! Believe me. I appreciate it! However I feel like I’m not adding any value if I can’t find some things to at least point out that I’m excited by. Also I have to apologise for the click-bait title. Sadly it seems to be the only thing the algorithm understands! Hopefully people find value in my analysis anyway. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Great reaction as always!! For another 'hidden gem' performance by Dimash you should listen to his solo of 'Know' (whose original Vocalise version was sung by Lara Fabian, which you might want to check out as well) from the same Igor concert, it is stunning!! Here is the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n9-hm5tyqdTTiGg.html I suggest checking out Dimash's Sinful Passion sometime as well, it is one of his most popular songs and a must see!!

Amazing performance , reaction , analysis and explain 😍 Thank you and lots of love from Bulgaria ❤️❤️❤️ My recommendation for you is " Daybreak " from a Bastau concert 2017 . I think that you will like it . This is still one of my favorite performances . Chinese song based on a true story . Sad but full of hopes and Dimash is on fire ❤️🔥❤️

Não sei se alguem percebe, mais ele faz uma segunda voz também como soprano e logo depois engata um tenor finalizando. Esse final do Dimash foi sensacional.

I have heard a vocal coach and an opera singer postulate that Dimash is a baritone with an insanely extended upper register. They have said this because they think that he wouldn’t be able to go as low as he does if he was a tenor. It all has to do with thickness of vocal chords apparently.

I suppose that makes a lot of sense. Regardless it’s fascinating! 😀

Dimash own teacher Marat Aitimov reckons Dimash is a tenor, in fact a very rare type called an altino. He bases this on Dimash timbre. Which would mean that it's the low extension that's insane. Whichever it is, he's a marvel of nature! From what I understand his vocal cords are slightly longer than usual, which could explain his wide range. I'm not a pro though. Personally I think he's a unicorn 🦄😂

Tenor, baritone or Altino! It’s hard to categorise his voice, he has such a unique vocal chord. Maybe it’s time to add 1 new category just for him.

I was really touched by your excursion about how it must feel to hear your own composition being played live by a big ensemble. I kind of know this feeling in small scale from the times when I played in a woodwind orchestra and occasionally arranged songs for us using a free notation software on my old PC. When we started rehearsing these arrangements, I sometimes forgot to play my part because I was so overwhelmed by the orchestral sound, which was so much richer and real than the tinny computer sound I was hearing all the time while working on the arrangement. So here you have a little experience from a hobby arranger.

This duet has such incredible harmonies and Dimash and Aida are well matched as far as vocals are concerned. Enjoyed your reaction and analysis. Have you done the Queen Medley with Dimash and Super Vocal Boys? Completely different but incredible harmonies as well. Cheers from Canada!

Just between you and I, they are both unimaginably spectacular, but sadly clickbait titles and thumbnails seem to be the only think that the KZfaq algorithm understands. There’s this mostly unspoken agreement with KZfaq creators and regular watchers that basically amounts to “yes I know the title is outlandish and the thumbnail is over the top, but hopefully the content is interesting enough for you to forgive me..” 😄
