Legit was suprised how small sam looks, maybe because he is the boss but in videos he always looks the tallest and biggest. Brennan being average height and looking massive next to Sam sure was a suprise.

@@u.s.s.chucklefucker1657 actually! sam once said in the discord that they don’t reuse minis even for the second run of the campaign (like unsleeping city and fantasy high). so selling the minis doesn’t necessarily guarantee we won’t get a continuation in the future 😉

To be fair, I think the cast already said they wouldn't want to do CoC again because they found the season to be so genuinely emotionally upsetting and stressful to play through. Although, if they did come back to it, they'd probably make new minis, since character looks usually change between seasons!

They noted in the FAQ that selling the minis does not mean that another season/spinoff won’t happen!

the FAQ on the auction site mentions that any given season -- whether sequel or original -- receives its own budget for minis and sets, so this wouldn't stop them doing another season (though as @MathisMagic pointed out the tone and story of CoC were super stressful for the players so they may well just not want to do it again for that reason)

If you are determined I suspect there would be a way around this like having it shipped to somewhere in the US and then forwarded to Canada. I'm sure it would be pricey and slow, also I'm not certain how you would set it up, but I'm pretty sure it is an option if you care to look into it.

Thanks for checking. Yeah, that would be a big change to ship globally. Last time I checked, the least shipping to Europe cost was $30, sometimes $40. It's bananas.

Printing suuuuuuucks right now. We do some work with printers and distributors and it’s like starting at a year lead time and has only gotten worse progressively last three years. Some one shots in candyland would be so amazing.

Brennan talked in an interview at one point about how it's unlikely that he'll make the settings into modules or books because either they'd be very incomplete (due to the seasons being too short to spend much time in the world) or he'd need to spend a lot of time fleshing them out, which would basically halt production on any new seasons of the show.

And if printing is too cost prohibitive, testing out the waters with a digital only version, and then later funding a hardback copy through kickstarter could be an option? Lots of other DnD content creators go this route and it looks like its been profitable for them!

What would be truly amazing is to get these scanned as stl files, so they can be 3d printed for future home campaigns. The designs are so amazing and fun, by far my favorite season when it comes to minis. Season 1 though might be the best for set design

i’ll probably never be able to afford the final sale price of any of these but this is such a cool idea. if i could suggest/ask/recommend one thing… y’all should put out a video specifically about the charity. let’s get to know those fellas, let’s see what they do, and where the money will go. it would be good, not just to spread the word, but also it might incentivize people to bid even more!

Love this! Heads up that there's a typo in the explanation of the way the Auction works that could lead to confusion once bidding begins. If you go to the auction site, then look at the example of an $100 automatic bid by Gorgug (see Step 3), you'll find a sentence where I believe the word "until" may have been omitted.

i think the pc's minis are kept by the players. like for these crown of candy minis im pretty sure theobold, ruby, amethar, etc are all not up for auction because the cast probably took those home with them

Nothing puts the final nail in the coffin of a series like selling off its minis. Crown of Candy was _that_ emotionally intense that the players never want to come back. Incredible. Will definitely have to check out the auctions!

2:11 Phew. Good thing that RPG in this case didn't stand for "rocket-propelled grenade". That would have been awkward. Also, question for you guys here in the comments: do you think that minis left in their original condition would be more or less valuable to you? The bit at 1:47 has me curious of this. I wonder if this "repair" means returning them to the state as we saw them last on the show, or if it means removing blemishes that were even present on-set? As an example, if I were bidding on a sword using in the filming of LOTR, I would NOT want damage done to the sword on-screen to be removed. Part of the appeal, no?

To everyone who thinks the auction means we won't get another season of Crown of Candy: no, that is not the case. They have specified in the FAQ on the website that every season has new minis planned in as part of the budget for that season. If/When there's a season 2 of CoC, they will just make new minis.
