@@Anonyomus There's literally video on youtube of them saying that Mustis wrote the entire intro to The Serpentine Offering, but the song is credited to Shagrath, Silenoz, and Galder. Mustis has a particular style that is kind of his signature; it is pretty easy to tell just by listening what songs he contributed to. He definitely didn't get due credit. But most of their best songs from the time Mustis was there were written or co-written by him. Progenies, Insight and the Catharsis, The Promised Future Aeons, Kings of the Carnival Creation, etc. I would follow/purchase anything Mustis produced, he is one of my favorite metal musicians.
@Anonyomus
@Anonyomus Жыл бұрын
@@kaziglubey4455 I agree, that's why I suspect that him becoming too powerful member (as he was the best musician in creativity, technicality and educated in the band at the time), he had to be get rid of. Dimmu Borgir would be as big of a band as before, if they wouldn't have diminished Mustis' contribution. Now they are falling in obscurity as their albums are way weaker than before.

This is the music that introduced me to black metal in 2012. I remember the first time I've listened. I was buying some game (I believe it was Skyrim) and the salesman was dressing a shirt of In Sorte Diaboli album. I got pretty scared at first, but when I got home the first thing I've done was to search for this "Dimmu Borgir" band, and this was the first video that appeared in youtube's list. When I've heard Shagrath's voice and saw all the strange face paint and spikes, I thought "what the fuck is this sick shit" (I was sixteen and got pretty creeped out). One month later, I was listening norwegian black metal every day.

Vortex's part is without a doubt the best part of this song. Fuck it, Vortex was the best part of Dimmu Borgir in general.

He slammed his bass into his face at some point after his historic vocal. So into the moment and continued playing. He had to get stitches if I recall.
