4:44 when Shagrath screams out “Vortex!”, then followed by that angelic voice and then that woeful guitar solo. This is by far the bands best work. I miss this lineup so much.

@@PhyrexianSwarmlord True. Sad they were the laugh stock for so long. Till the extreme bands saw they were grabbing main stream attention. Which use to be hated yet now they understand that is how you make money. I DO however Really Miss Vortex. He was such a presence. Then add his clean vocals. This was the best line up of the band. Even more so when HellHammer would join for tours on the drums.

@@kyles6813 Definitely I wouldn't call myself an ultimate dimmu fan because there are albums I dare not touch, lol but I stick to Godless Savage Garden, Puritania, Death Cult Armageddon, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, and For all Tid, maaaaaybe In Sorte Diaboli but that's pushing it for me.. Vortex definitly made the band a lot more whole, as did Hellhammer.. might've been laughing stock, but at least they were making good money, which is hard as a metal band if you aren't 'mainstream'

Like a lot of people, this was my introduction to the band. I walked away a fan that day (as I'm sure a lot of other people did, too). That Ozzfest was special. Classic reunited lineup of Priest, original lineup of Slayer, original Sabbath to top it off. It was like Woodstock for metalheads. The fact that Dimmu managed to shine through all of that is truly amazing.

God I love this line-up and the albums they've put out during this time. For me...this is one of the best incarnation of Dimmu, I'm lucky to have seen them live in this period

i think it's more about the aesthetics of the music. this has not that much in common with the black metal bands of old. I don't care but I also understand if a BM purists doesn't like this

The song structure is fantastic but once Vortex chimes in on the harmony, that seals the deal. This was Beast Mode & the group at 100.
