To be fair any big dog can be dangerous if not trained or if it's unaccustomed to people and that's probably where the danger comes from with a dingo in the wild, not that they're particularly bloodthirsty.

@@aquabluerose7734 your right they aren't bloodthirsty but you should keep in mind when around a captive dingo that you shouldn't treat them as you would a dog, they will still bite you even if your doing something a regular dog wouldn't mind.

Well I saw a documentary film about how a dingo found a family in australia that was like having a trip and while the parents were making dinner (in the middle of a dessert lol) a dingo came by and took their baby and ate it. Pretty common for a golden retriver to do.

the biggest thing is to never feed them and to scare them off when they come near you. feeding them teaches them not to fear humans. usually, for adults, they're not a huge issue but for children, it's a concern. they will attack and will often do so in packs/groups. you'll forever hear of attacks on children mainly at Fraser island by dingoes resulting in several stitches/fractures/wounds. FYI a dingo really did eat the baby at Uluru - it ripped into the tent and dragged the baby back to an area surrounded by dingo dens where the baby's clothing was later found. (that ordeal was a complete justice system f*ck show that saw the mother falsely imprisoned and dragged through the media/public)

When I was little my grandparents accidentally adopted a dingo, her name was girlfriend, because she was use as a breeder from her old owners. She was the sweetest dog, though she was never the snuggly type

I thought the same thing! I've been googling nonstop for like 20 minutes and every single source I can find refers to dingoes as "Australia's largest extant predator" or "Australia's largest land predator." Neither of those make sense since the crocodile is clearly larger, and it does walk and hunt on land. Even if they want to say that crocodiles don't count as "terrestrial predators" since they mainly hunt in the water, it would still be wrong to call dingoes the largest extant predator in Australia.

Dingos aren't making even a tiny dent in the decline of native animals here, we have so many endangered animals (including dingos) because of non-native species such as cats, boars, livestock etc.

I had a dog that was a quarter dingo. She was an absolute sweetheart with a few uncommon traits. She could climb trees, her vocalizations could sound like a cross of a howl and yodeling. She also had a very strong prey drive concerning small animals that took a lot of work and training to get under control.
