Me and Dino met after like a year of talking about gear and shit over Instagram. The fan boy was still there in me but it was so strange in a good way. I just walked up to him, he recognized me and we just started talking as if we had been friends for a really long time. We even went out and got Wendy’s lmfao. Dino’s been my idol for well over 15 years and I’m extremely privileged to be able to call him a friend. Good shit Garza! Love the podcast 💪🏻🥂

Mr. Garza, I’ve really been enjoying your podcasts lately, but this has to be the best. Dino was my guy back in the day when I started playing guitar. Everyone had their “guy” that they tried to emulate and learn from, mine was Dino. When I first heard Demanufacture, I was instantly hooked and immediately starting learning the entire album. I would get home from school and just play like Obsolete, for example, from start to finish. I learned every song. I might not have gotten as much into soloing and improv, but goddamn, thanks to Dino, I became one tight rhythm player, and my right arm turned into a machine gun. Fear Factory for me back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s was the band. I was obsessed with them. I will admit, I did kinda fall off a little and got into other music but always came back to records like Obsolete. Thank you Dino for all you’ve done and continue to do!

Fear Factroy has been a part of my life since 2005. One of the very few uplifting metal acts that actually inspire and make you overcome whatever the crap one's going through with the aim at the better tomorrow. Thanks for this, podcast for being the rad metal nerd and asking good questions. And thanks to Fear Factory for tremendous music that we will listen to once the Judgement Day of 2029 comes)))

I am thoroughly enjoying this interview, and love hearing about all the background and such. But I gotta say...I feel so old listening to Garza not recognize the Hush or what a dictaphone is...But also, it's fuckin hilarious to watch Garza totally go red every time Dino says anything cuz he's obviously a huge fan. Feels like we're all in your chair there Garza hahaha I'd be like THAT'S AWESOME!!! and have so many questions...like nerding out on studio info too. Just tricks and trades and shit...but yeah this is a great interview. It's like a 15 year old meeting his idol hahaha

Listening to Dino talk about his approach to writing the songs and developing the essence that is Fear Factory is fascinating. Playing like a sample without being a sample, very cool way of coming about it. The most influential thing I ever took from fear factory was the synced up percussive guitar and double bass drum. Then add the melodic singing mixed with distorted vocal and you have their legacy right there. I still wish Button would be back, somehow in some way, whatever it takes but that sounds impossible after this interview.

Watching this in 2023, Dino was absolutely right about keeping the new singer's name and identity concealed until there was a tour. Milo is delivering the goods on stage, and shutting down the haters. I still miss Raymond and Burton, and that lineup will always be the gold standard, but Dino is the heart and soul of FF

Dino seems to have a reputation for being hard to work with but the general consensus from any fan who has met him seems to be that he’s a super nice guy who always has time for his fans. In regards to being in a band with him, he clearly has a vision for his music and you’re either with him or you’re in his way. Seems to me that he just sets very high standards which I don’t see a problem with 💪🏻
