Yes, if it wasn't for Lister (so Ace had help with fixing the drive plate) this would be the series.

I think that, for that reason, this was my favourite Red Dwarf series as a teenager.

The humour throughout is why I prefer this season over season 7

honestly confining the two of them in a cell together was underused this season, its a nice dynamic that they CAN'T just leaveand walk away from each other, classic sitcoms like "Poridge" really used this to its fullest extent and i think they could have learned a thing or two from that, i could have taken another season of episodes in the prison!

@stevenr6397 definitely, it would have been nice to have more bunk scenes that were similar to series 1-3, where they had some really good and hilarious conversations.

What's number one? Timewave and Back to Earth seem to rank consistently near the bottom so I'm guessing its one of them.

Timewave also has the decency to be placed between Siliconia and Mechocracy, which are both *alright* episodes

Timewave was worst, while the Back to Earth parts were (undeservedly, if you ask me) ranked 6th, 7th, and 9th worst. Season 1 Lister clearly said haitch. I Googled it's a thing. It's considered the hick way to say it. But the hicks are right. H should have an H sound.

labelling everything you don't like as "really bad stuff" and insinuating it's a problem that people do like that stuff, is pretty cringe bro. Other people exist and their likes and dislikes are just as valid as yours.

I think series 11 and 12 are good. Miles better than 7 and better than some episodes in 8. A few moments in 12 had me laughing almost as much as some of my favourite moments in series 2, by far my favourite series. By no means as consistently good as earlier series, and a few iffy moments, but I think they hold up really well.

@@GrilloTheFlightless dunno what you see in 11 & 12... although i didnt see all the episodes of 12.. maybe half of them... they all seem like the scenes last too long.. like they didnt bother to cut, they just let them keep talking... maybe to save money on having to make lots of scenes and pay fro many locations and scenery? they are mostly badly written.. often doing old jokes that were already rehashed too many times in 7&8.. all the early season 1-6 had clever sciency scripts.. 7-8 dumbed the clever comedy down to physical comedy more & more (but hey, the gals like that) and its worse on 11-12.. for me 10 was better than 7-8 and i had real hope theyd keep going back to the old skool stuff. i honestly dont see what you like about 11-12.. i tried to watch some a second time i was bored stiff.. theyre all too old, they feel like they are just in it for the money, not even putting effort in, it feels like they didnt film in front of an audience and they just recorded once and said.. "yeah, that will do".. dave doesnt have the same quality standards that the bbc used to have. i bought seasons 1-10 i would never buy 11-12... what exactly do you like about them? i often hear people saying they like them but people never say what they like.. its almost as if they are just saying it and not really believing it

@@GrilloTheFlightless its a bit like big bang theory.. the first 3-4 seasons were quite good, they actually had some clever comedy in it about real science and nerdy stuff. then they gradually dumbed the show down to SOUND CLEVER by using long words etc but not actually be clever, so theyd get a bunch of dumb people watching it thinking they were clever.... the kind of people that liked big bang theory right til the end might like season 11-12? who knows.. i feel like our media is gradually making being low IQ what people look up to.. just see how the most popular people on reality tv shows are often the most stupid ones... all comedy is going that way... the world is literally going the way of that movie idiocracy
