English VA is definitely a good voice actor, but it just shows how iconic and amazing Dio's japanese VA is. Man made Dio singlehandedly one of the most iconic characters in JoJo.

Dio's english voice actor deserves praise for even daring to attempt to touch the greatness of Dio's original voice. Bravery is a rare thing.

I watched the original audio with subtitles when I watched JoJo, but honestly, every voice I've heard from the dub (so far) seem pretty damn good. Despite this, I would say that Dio's voice is better, and we get to hear 'ZA WARUDO!'

There’s a scene where Dio stops time without saying “Za Warudo!” or “The World!”, so this means that he doesn’t even need to scream for time to stop. He just does it for kicks and giggles.

Dubbed is definitely underrated, I mean he’s not as good as subbed but he’s still good, he put so much effort into his voice and it kinda fits his personality if you ask me.

I wonder how they explain the scene to the English voice actor. “Now say Road Roller really passionately” “Can I get some context” “Your character is crushing the protagonist with a road roller” “I see ok so he’s operating the road roller and also yelling road roller.” “Who said anything about operating the road roller, he’s just carrying it and smashing Jotaro while yelling road roller how hard is it to understand.”

Both actors are perfect and we need them both to come back as Diego Brando

I could never talk trash about the English dub of dio, he’s an amazing VA and he did a really good job. I just personally think no one can compare to the original Japanese one. He may come close..but trying to be better is…well… MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!!!!!

When I started watching part 3, I was kinda hoping for a dub but man I’m glad I got a sub

The english dub isnt so bad. But the japanese dub is just legendary.

One thing I prefer about the English dub is that while "ZA WARUDO" is iconic, he says different things when stopping time. Not to mention the dub voice has a cocky, snarky attitude, like he is 100% sure he will win.

Okay, but props to the dub actors, they really put in a huge amount of effort to make the dub sound really good. I still prefer the sub because it’s just too damn good, but this dub is still great

I love the OVA more. But, only the English dub of the OVA, as DIO and Star Platinum sound like a 12y old going through puberty for the first time in the Japanese version of it, but in the English… DIO sounds scary, and Star Platinum is SO MANLY THAT THE ANIME STAR PLATINUM WILL NEVER COMPARE.

Japanese Dio is violent and snarky, while English Dio is a lot more cocky and patronizing, and yet both of them make a different form of a perfect way to voice act Dio. A+ to them both

Fun Fact: The English voice actors for both Jotaro and Dio are the same voice actors for Hit and Jiren.

I looked up the English translation for Za warudo and I got 'Seat Wald' and the English translation for Za warudo toki wo tomare was 'Rare time in the seat wald'
