the whole song is far ahead of it's time. So far ahead that no one wanted to do it in 1960. They were afraid of the lyrics, Dion recorded it at the last minute and still was not sure about it. Of course it became the B side of " The Majestik" but not for long.

@@catholiccowboy8545 Had no idea the lyrics caused any kind of an uproar. They played this tune all the time on my TOP 50 am station WHK 1420 from Cleveland, Ohio. Now, nowadays one probably could not get airplay from all the censors/woke has entered our society in every thing.. I played the heck out of this tune and recall didn't care for the flip side at all. Maybe I'll give it more listens. Had no idea that's the side that was pegged for the "A" side!! Thanks for that info!!

(However, on Maresca's original demo of the song, the lyrics were "with my two fists of iron and my bottle of beer", and the change to "with my two fists of iron but I'm going nowhere" in fact seems to have been at the record company's insistence.).
