2024 and I'm still hearing this song. Agree with others it's better than most songs of today. A 30 year drought in music starting in 1994.

Danny and the juniors at the hop good old 1957, my grandfather told me it was this summer song it’s skyrocket that year. It was a summer song that you can go out with your girlfriend to the burger joint and just have it blasting your car. My grandfather passed away. I always think of him from time to time so whenever I’m in the car, I will put on Danny and the juniors at the hop to remember the good times I had with him. Miss you, grandpa

It's December of 2023. I still get excited when I hear this song. I can't even imagine what kids of the 50's thought.

In 1957 I was 3 years old,I recall my Mother dancing to this song.

Imagine teens in the late '50's hearing this for the 1st time - they must have been crazed.

I performed this song in junior high in 1957 with my guitar when I was 12 at a school dance. How cool this was ! Loved this song !

In 1979, Hauppauge High School, L.I. N.Y. put on a "Vaudeville Show", which included "Danny & the Juniors"! Even though it was twenty years after their initial success, they still 'brought the house down' with "At the Hop!" The audience of 30-40 something parents, couldn't stay in their seats & started dancing & jumping, to the amazement of their teenage children! This was the best $3.00 per person admission, of my life!

I was 5 years old when this hit, my mom got it and tried to teach me how to jitterbug in the living room. This song will never ever go out of date.

I was a tyke when this was getting original radio airplay. Late 50s and 60s the best time to be a kid.

When singers are talented they don't need gimmicks to draw large crowds. I was 11 years old when this song came out and I have loved it ever since. But back then the music was great too. Not like that trashy music of today.

Late 40's To late 70's is To me the very best musicaly as well for the lyrics generaly and "at the hop" is one of them songs of that era!

Old music sure had a heck of a lot of energy, and raw and real all those acoustic instrument, the dance routine, and how tight these guys were. I make electronic dance music … but i like the raw energy here.

Wow. It's 2023 (Nov) & I'm seeing this video for the first time. Absolutely groovy. Imagine them today on Much Music, MTV or The Arsenio Hall show.

Imagine hair combed cut short. Clean dressy clothes. Real music no fake drums etc etc. Yup the good life we left in the 50 s.

People in the video are actually DANCING! It is nearly impossible today to find someone to actually dance with. Today's generation just stand in one place and bounce around by themselves.

I wasn't even born when this came out. I was a teenager in the 80s and remember thinking back then that songs like this were positively ancient. I bet teen today think the same of my generations 80s tunes. Nowadays, when I hear this 50's classic I just think how amazing it is. I love the shot in this video @1:27 of the teenagers in the audience losing their sh*t to this song. They all look so happy! I guess if I had been born 30 years earlier then for sure that would have been me a hoppin and a boppin in the aisles

I was a kid when rock and roll came in and it completely changed teenage mass music. No more How much is that doggie in the window type songs. These songs were get up and go music. Did you see the kids go crazy in the auditorium. They were up and moving and dancing. Although, I am older now, 75, I always wanted to go to a Pit Bull Concert and it had the same kind of vibe. The Hollywood Hard Rock has about a three thousand seat auditorium and the first balcony was really moving up and down. Scary. The age range of the fans was about 19 to 90.
