Hi friends! I am excited to review for you today some pieces from the Dior Summer 2024 Makeup Collection! I have the Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Pastel Glow and the Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Coral Flame to swatch, demo, and compare. I also have new newest shade of the Dior Forever Glow Maximizers which is called nude. I will be doing lots of comparisons in this Dior Summer 2024 beauty review with other brands such as Chanel makeup, Tom Ford Makeup, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands, and Guerlain eyeshadow.

thank you for all the effort you put in your videos - the product close ups, the swatch comparisons. i know the inserts take longer to put in during editing, so thank you. i was waiting for your review since i saw your post on instagram. i was on the fence on pastel glow but seeing your post and now the two beautiful looks you made, i’m definitely going to get it. and thank you for explaining the formula - i prefer less pigment and an ethereal luminosity so the pastel glow palette is perfect.

Great review and comparisons as always❤ I agree those two Tom Ford quads are similar to the coral palette. I like the pastel palette more than I expected because of the neutrals. I’m a little late seeing this video, but I just picked up the new Dior Pastel Glow palette from Macys website for 15% off with their friends and family sale. After watching this, I’m so glad I ordered it! Both palettes are beautiful, but I agree that the Pastel Glow is more unique. I love an ethereal look on the eyes, and this definitely fits the bill!

Thank you for your helpful comparisons! I will pass on Pastel Glow as I have Parure Venitienne and Summer Jean quads. I kinda regret not getting Chanel Delices, but oh well :) Pastel Glow is beautiful, but I can easily dupe the vibes of it if I want.

great comparisons! pastel glow is my favorite of the three but bc I have the Chanel spring quad from last year i’m not sure if this will do much for my light medium complexion 🤪 i am considering the lilac blush tho when it releases. x

I'm a fan of the pastel palette. I'm considering purchasing it . I like sheer shadows. They are easy to apply and mistake free. I really have gotten away from using highlighters and don't need any more. Your reviews are fabulous and I'm so appreciative of your thoroughness.

For now I’ve been unimpressed with the sheerness of these (so very subtle) and the color story in Pastel Glow really threw me off. I like Coral Flame more but after watching your video I think Pastel Glow is quite a good palette too. I’ll try them your way lol

Very helpful dear Sofia, thanks for this very good video, chrystal clear, also about the CT Pillowtalk liquid highlighter which is so close to this one, not that i had plans for purchasing another liquid highlighter, but yes, super hepful, also the beautiful eyelooks, the swatch comparisons of the eyeshadow!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩This is in The Netherlands over 70 euro, which i'm not gonna pay of course, as these quads expire more quickly nowadays. But beautiful! And sales enough here, i think i order the cooler toned quint when i see a reasonable price, thanks, have a wonderful day!!!!😘😘😘😘

I’m so tempted by pastel glow. I’m going to force myself to wait and if it sells out, so be it. But if I’m thinking about it still in a few weeks I may buy it. I have most of your comparisons. I also think the Viseart coy and coyish palettes can provide similar looks. So if nothing else this video was a good reminder of all of the beautiful palettes I have that are perfect for this time of year. The la plage from Viseart is one of my absolute favorites for summer!

This was so incredibly helpful. Thank you for going into such detail about how this satin formula differs from the usual Dior quint satins. I didn’t realize that before your review. I now feel confident that these will not be ideal for me (but I especially loved the warm look you did.) And no wonder!! I truly LOVE Soleil la Plage! I will always regret not getting the Guerlain Summer Jean 😢. I was a fool. And it turns out it was their last Ombres G in their baked formula. 😭😭😭 (Past Lisa really blew it!)

Yes, the formula of these Dior quints is baked gelée. Their last release in this formula was their holiday 2023 collection. I’m glad they continue to propose this formula every now and then. It’s the only formula I would buy from Dior, at this point. I picked the Pastel Glow palette, for several reasons… I will discuss them in one of my coming videos soon! 😘

I was wondering how this new maximizer in nude would be compared to their star filter if there’s much difference. Your videos are always so so good with comparisons. I wasn’t going to consider the release until I saw your review. The coral palette looks more wearable than I thought.

The formula in the glow maximizers is a little more pigmented. I don't usually reach for the glow star filter for highlighter cause it feels dewier

I’m on the fence about the pastel glow palette. I like the lavender and pink colors but the other colors don’t call to me, I might save my money. I bought the Dior liquid highlighter in rosy and I’m glad I got it. It really lasts a long time and it’s beautiful on dry, mature skin. I use it as a blush instead of a highlighter.

I would recommend on of the petite fours from viseart. I know they have a lavender themed one and it honestly would be a similar price to a single shadow from a brand like Dior

Thank you for your review of those and the swatches!!! I'm really thinking of passing every palette because of the price increasing (it's getting really much to me and I did of course bought the two Chanel new ones XD) I wonder if you find somehow similar "Pastel Glow" and the last Dior "Atelier" palette? I found Atelier very ethereal, and I don't know if the lilac-pink looks similar between this two palettes. To be honest, I just want the look that Dior created to promote this summer palette and I'm not sure the colour in the undereye it's from Pastel glow or if it is some of the new monocolor or eyeliners that will arrive soon.

@@SofiaSeesBeauty yup the pop in purse put on desk sort of lip hand cream. It feels nice on lips and hands … lighter than the sugar lip balm … there is a pink design now too! Looks like Chanel had a version now too

I was putting my makeup on while watching you and had to laugh when I saw the Dior Pastel Glow quint because I was in the process of applying my Chanel Délices from last year. The Chanel definitely looks more pigmented than the Dior. Dior seems to be going for more translucent watercolor looks this year. Since I have Délices, I’ll be giving Dior a miss, but it is a lovely quint.

Sofia - Question: I LOVE the new Coral Flame and these are definitely my colors!! However, I just bought the Viseart Solstice palette, and am considering the Viseart Paris Etendu palette. Are these going to have much difference? I love the bright colors in these. PS, I am also LOVING the LE Kitten Liquid Black liner, on the upper lid in a fine line!! Perfection!! ❤

No way I would call that cool--it is neutral/warm altho not as warm as the other pallete. I am thinking about the first quad, it is a perfect summer pallete for me. Look 1 is beautiful on you. But Look 2 is great also. I ordered the Glow Filter but haven't received it yet. i'm trying to step back from foundation for the hot summer (Arizona, oy vey).

I was expecting the nude glow to be so much lighter and more champagne based on website pics. I guess it matches the description blush bronze more because when I got it in it was def rose gold. It went on lighter than it looks in the bottle, but it was still too dark or not as bright as I would’ve liked compared to what i normally use - LE crystal nebula.

Thank you for the video! I was also wondering how pastel glow compares to the Dior 'silver essential' backstage palette :) are you planning on buying the new addict shines, they seem to be part of this release, I think

Nope I don't think I will be getting anything else from the collection. The lip products all kind of start to look similar to me and I they just kind of accumulate in my storage. Silver essentials has one or two of those pastel shades but doesn't have the brown toned ones
