That's what I just wrote in my comment! I can create this very same look with that Quad. I really do like it, but Dior seems to be trying to copy other brands by adding pops of colour, but getting it wrong. I also have all of the Prada Palettes, including the one with the purple. Dior won't be able to compete with that formula. The last Dior Quint that I bought was Denim, just prior to the reformulations. They simply haven't interested me since.💖

@@krisushi1 yeah I think I’m done getting Dior pallets. The last ones I got were the ones selling in the winter for this spring which I liked but I don’t think I’ll be looking at Dior anymore. The Prada pallets are excellent! And I might save my money for more Cle De Peau pallets. I got the blue one and it’s phenomenal!

@@kareneleanor_ Were they the ones that looked like knitwear? The very light neutral one and the other with reddish/rust and brown shades? Only the light one came to Australia. They had already released many palettes the previous year with red tones. Even though Australia is so close to Asia, it's extremely hard to buy Clé de Peau or Suqqu. If I want Suqqu, I have to buy it from Selfridges or eBay! It was only last year that I bought Suqqu for the first time and still haven't tried Clé de Peau. I'm in love with my Prada Palettes and the Rabanne too. I ordered the Byredo Dreamscape Palette yesterday from Selfridges. It is coming to Australia, yet when it showed up at Selfridges, I grabbed it and will have it by the time it's available here, slightly cheaper too. It's so beautiful and just as gorgeous as the Kalahari Palette. The Kalahari and this new Dreamscape reminds me very much of the colours of the Australian landscape. The great majority of our country is desert and I live next to the Australian Alps. These two palettes look like they represent my country. One day I'll finally get around to making up a palette using Lethal Cosmetics and create a palette that represents the area in which I live, which thankfully isn't in a capital city anymore. Dior's Quints just don't appear to have hardly any pigment at all now. Many laughed at the release of Golden Bouquet, yet it was pigmented so well that it looked great. If Dior released that now, we'd never see it when applied. For the life of me I cannot understand how endless Indie Brands can create phenomenal eye-shadows that are also vegan, yet Dior simply can't follow suit with all the money they have! I just ordered the latest release from Lethal called Mellow Grove. It's a companion to their previous Midnight Serenade. I have never had an issue with their formula and will keep on buying whenever they release! I'm not a great fan of very light washes of colour due to my very pale skin-tone. I don't mind a light multichrome or shimmer shade with a matte in the crease to cement the look. I don't see the need in paying that much for a wash of colour when we can simply use a light shade from a palette we already own. I bought all of the Rabanne Duo Shadows except for one that was a very creamy texture and rather bright. These are stunning when adding all over the lid with a soft matte along the crease. This is the reason I bought them. Naturally, I bought the four Quads too. If you're going to order from the opposite side of the earth, it's better to make it worth the trip. I have the three Isamaya Ffrench Eye Palettes of many different textures, Chanel, Burberry, Guerlain, Givenchy - which I adore!, Byredo - both large & small, Tom Ford, PML, Natasha Denona, By Terry, Chantecaille..... get the picture? Dior is never going to out do all of these and that's not all of them! The Quints are very expensive in Oz, especially when L/E. I'm still happily wearing my Chanel 747 Mediterranean and receiving compliments. They really hit it for six with the Byzance Collection. All Dior have done is fallen off the edge of the earth. It's hard to understand a brand that I had purchased every Eye Palette from, except for the Christmas Palettes and now I'm not interested at all. What has happened to Peter Philips and the creativity he showed throughout 2022 when I bought almost everything? Dior were doing so well and now they can barely hold my interest. I'm not about to waste money on under par products when I can be investing in jewellery, which is another indulgence and love I have. The Dior Online Store in Australia is simply a joke. Two pathetic tiny samples, if you're lucky, no matter how much you spend! It's just not good enough. This is why I now go through a store who contacts me. I'll get off my soapbox now. It's sad to have watched them fall so fast.💖

@@krisushi1 wow I hear ya! So I can’t remember the names unfortunately but one of them is Dior Dream. I have the darker one of the sweater one which is good as well. Sorry I’m out of town so I can’t check my collection. But if you watch Allfiesty she show cased all of them. One had the light blue shade in it which I like. The other one I think is Pink coral? Honestly though it sounds like you have a decent collection that you like already so I would skip Dior unless they change their formula back to what it was which was beautiful!

@@kareneleanor_ Yes, they brought back those names that had been used before and swapped them slightly - Pink Organza and Popeline Peach? They originally came out as Pink Popeline and Peach Organza but never came to Australia, both times! I remember the palette with the very pale blue shade in it. My goodness, my make-up collection is embarrassingly large! I counted the palettes one day and shocked myself. Did that stop me? No! I have this thing for beautiful colours, whether in make-up, fashion, jewellery or accessories. I love arranging outfits or simply applying make-up despite not going out. I do it for myself. The last thing I need is more make-up. I'll pick up my absolute favourites like the yearly Byredo, certain L/E's that come out for particular brands for special collections. I was doing quite well at the start of the year with my 'low-buy with exceptions' but discovered I was failing miserably. In the last few days I was contacted from Givenchy to tell me that the items I had been wanting had arrived, the Sephora Sale started in which I only bought one item. The Byredo Dreamscape Palette became available and Lethal launched their new palette just over four hours ago at midnight. I was doing so well and then everything hit me at once. I was proud of ignoring Sephora, no matter how many times they continued to incite me to purchase. Does it count if I buy something for another? I suppose it still does.🤷🏼‍♀️ Oh well, I'll strive to do better by taking it a day at a time. Anyway, I better get some sleep before the birds wake me up in a few hours. I’ve got the dressmakers quint and although all 5 colours are pure pastels, they really show up well. Subtle but definitely there. I’m fair to medium with a neutral to cool complexion and it’s just perfect on me.

@@elshol-ferman3681I wonder if I might be just a bit more fair than you are-or something in my olive tones just cancels out the colors. I feel like I’ve seen beautiful looks with the palette on medium complexions. Do you use any specific primer with it? I wish I enjoyed it as much as you do!! Teach me your secrets!!

@@LisaF_ I don’t use any primers but I use foundation which I always put on my eye lids as well. I tend to go only a little touch darker my skin tone. I like the Lisa Eldridge neutral rosy foundation and before I apply eyeshadow, I apply powder. I swear by the CT setting powder but I’m sure any other finely milled will do.

It could very well be your undertone eating the color but I also remember Lexi Jong who is fair and cool leaning who had issues w pigmentation. She wasn't a fan ​@@LisaF_

Just today I've ordered a Burberry Quad, Givenchy's latest Eye Palette, Mascara and new Lipstick, plus the new Dreamscape Byredo Palette. I'm tapped out too and haven't been touching Dior's Quints since the reformulation.💖

You have to consider that a camera makes whatever you wear look much smoother than reality even if you don't use specific filters. We're not getting proper close ups either. Lexi Jong does proper close ups that show quite realistic texture of eyeshadows and skin to judge better

@@exomake_mehorololo If memory serves, Lexi doesn't use an eye primer most of the time either. That's the reason that I tend not to watch too many of her video's as they don't give a realistic view of how a shadow performs the way most use them. I've got nothing against Lexi, just do not use shadow without an eye primer, therefore the shadows will perform differently. The one issue I have with many YT Creators is that their lighting is far too bright and it makes the shadows appear lighter. I can guarantee that if you saw Jen for real, her shadow will appear deeper than what it shows as we view it in the video.💖

It's just my opinion, but I believe that you could easily recreate this look with the Delices Quad. I honestly don't like the sound of adding a green shade alongside lilac, so that wouldn't be an issue. If you had the Chanel Byzance Quad with the shifty green shade, you could always use that if you felt you needed too. It's too much like Delices and far to light in pigment for my liking and I'm very pale too.💖

@@krisushi1 I like the green, but Victoria Beckham just made an eyeliner in Seafoam green. So I could get that, use Delices, and get a better effect. I missed the whole Byzance collection, waited too long for Cristal. And didn't really want the Venetian one. Pretty, but I have soft green shadow in other palettes. Another reason to skip this Dior, now that I think about it. Thanks for your reply. You helped me definitely to decide to pass on this.

@@DeborahCarlston I've seen that new VB liner and it's a beautiful colour. The Byzance Collection is still available in Australia, except for Cristal which sold out rather fast. I bought all four of them! I actually surprised myself. I was only going for two, yet I had never seen anything like this before from Chanel and bought the lot. I honestly don't regret it either - they're all stunning. What I liked about them was the 'sparkly shade' in each Quad. The blue, green, white and rose gold. I loved playing with the Baroque at Christmas and would add the white sparkles gently over the colour I put on the lid to appear like snow. I did build it up when used in the inner corner. I don't really like topper shades, yet these were able to be used very gently or built up to look like a normal shadow. I won't be in a hurry to do that again after yesterday buying the Byredo Dreamscape Palette, my fourth Burberry Quad and from Givenchy I got the recent Neutral Eye Palette, Mascara and a newly released Lipstick! I'm supposed to be on a 'low-buy with exceptions', but have dismally failed. I must confess that the three Eye Palettes were exceptions of those I collect but I'll have to do better after I purchase the new Lethal Cosmetics Mellow Grove Palette being released on the weekend. I buy all shadows that Lethal release due to their excellent quality that are made to suit all ages, even the Multichromes and Holographic Pure Metals. I've gone off Dior since the reformulations and have only bought the Backstage Eye Palettes which are a favourite. They're not even bringing items that have been available for several months here. I just have my name down at a store and what it is that I'm after. They contact me if Dior decide to send a few this way. Our Online Store is simply a joke. Not at all impressed by them. In 2022, I bought every Quint they released, except for the Holiday ones. That's how much I loved them. They haven't inspired me at all since and the only Quint I purchased was last year before the reformulations, in Denim. Have fun with your new VB liner!💖

@@krisushi1 Thanks. It's still a maybe. I have been good on my low buy. Skipped the new Mineralscapes Byredo palette today. Also the Dior. Did you get the Dior backstage Silver palette last year? My only one of those, but I really love it. I have a lot of the Pat McGrath Mothership palettes, Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Eldridge, and Viseart. I reach for the Natasha Denona and Viseart palettes the most. Although I go through favorites with them all. Being US we get a different mix of brands here. I am enjoying trying Suqqu and wish we got Addiction shadows here. I have to get those from your part of the globe. Thanks for sharing. I'll bet you're a stunner in all that Chanel.
