Everyone over here saying not to worry about it taking long, but I'm here shocked at how quickly you made it. You made multiple guardians, have insane attention to detail and the scale is huge. I don't think you took long at all, I think your talent allowed you to complete it so quickly. It's an absolute masterpiece.

When you showed all four of the shrines together, I was pretty shocked and amazed. You worry about what others think that if you've just been sleeping, you're yourself, you've got your own personal life and we all understand that it takes time to make the things you love. I think I've said this before, but you don't need to apologize for getting videos out 'late'. Especially since it would probably take you half the time if you didn't have to film it all. You're going out of your way to make this video, and we appreciate it, no matter how long it takes to make. I can't even begin to imagine just how much effort goes into every single piece, trying to not make even the slightest mistake. And how devastating it is when it fails. Still. As an artist myself, when I read that you felt like you liked your fellow who’s down I felt that to my core. But as artist, we always go back to our older work when we have advanced in skill and then revisit all the work to re-create it. Where is the beauty of art? It is never finished. Artists are our own worst critics. These are skillfully made and beautifully detailed. A good way to make sure your supports aren't visible is to pour the resin to whatever the minimum height you need that will support the weight for the guardian when cured. Then, you can remove all the supports and finish the pour. It requires a bit of precision with any color you add, but that's not too hard to measure. Man, I wish I could try to do even a small diorama like these but supplies are so damn expensive!

I'm not an artist in your area of expertise, but I am an artist, and the best piece of advice I've ever been given is, "An artist is their own worst critic." I'm glad you wish to redo a piece you thought wasn't your best, but let me tell you that the first guardian was fantastic, and in fact I haven't seen a single one of your works that I would consider less than wonderful.

I actually really like the yellowed resin, LOL. I think it gives the illusion of shallower water with algae, and the bubbles make me think of actually bubbles that rise from the ocean for the various reasons there are, I love them.

those bubbles look pretty neat in my opinion.. these underwater dioramas are pretty good with the bubbles imo ifits not too out of place, it even adds to it

Your original is beautiful and charming, and these pieces show how your skills have been built since then. Think not of your past work as 'not well done', but as a marker in your skills that you have climbed past. We ALL start somewhere and our skillsets will vary over time and practice. Nobody is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes so you are not a lesser artist or crafter for doing so.

Dude, that shrine guardian was the first video of you that I found, no shame in getting better, don' lament the past in that regard. I've still got the first HG I build and "painted" with markers that my sister brought from across the world, standing behind it is a MG variant of the same kit fully airbrushed, panel lined (even a couple of custom ones) and decalled. Every time I look at them I smile because of the journey. I'm still planning on making a diorama and using some of the techniques that you show.

Honestly, even with the mistakes, they're still breath taking. had you not pointed them out, I might not have even noticed. Plus, the bubbles look, REALLY cool. Like they're coming from the Guardian

Imma be completly honest, I really like how the bubbles look at the second one, I know that for experienced people those bubbles are bad, but I liked them, didn't even notice the guardian turning yellow, doesn't looks bad either

I think when looking back there should be nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. You did your work with all your momentarily best expertise, knowledge and craftsmanship. We should go easy on our younger self's. Being able to look back and seeing things you now do differently is beautiful because its only possible because you became more knowledgeable, experienced and mature. I like the way the bubbles came out, near the rocks supporting the shrine, and the ripply effect they have on the "underwater" portion of the resin. I have to say, those accidental bubbles trapped in the moss on the rocks are stunning to me. I never understand when people doing an underwater style project get worried about the bubbles in the resin. It brings life. There would be bubbles with creatures moving around. I love how it looks. Is there a fear of structure with the air bubbles that I'm ignorant of or is it purely a visual choice?

I understand why the artist is saying the first two pieces were a failure, but I actually like the bubbles in the water. Also, the yellowing doesn’t really bother me either. I respect the grind for perfection, but that doesn’t mean the mistakes along the way are no less impressive in their own rights.

Bro I swear it's not messed up at all. For me it is even more logical there's bubbles in the water it brings movement and action to your piece and it makes it alive I swear. Even the guardian turning a bit yellow, it's really good because we can imagine that depending on the light in a very clear water like it is of course a big fish like this might appear yellowish gloomy. I swear it's even better man.

To be honest the bubbles have always been my favorite when it comes to water. Much more realistic. The yellow also gave it a more sea water/ pond like feel. Some mistakes can turn out even more beautiful. Everything turns out beautiful tho.
