2022年6月15日にDIR EN GREYの11枚目となります最新アルバム『PHALARIS』が発表されることが決定致しました。
2018年9月26日に発表された前作『The Insulated World』から3年9ヵ月ぶりとなるアルバムとなります。
完全生産限定盤には映像特典ディスクとして、2021年6月5日に東京ガーデンシアターにて開催されました“疎外”のLIVE映像を全編収録。完全／初回生産限定盤の特典CDには「mazohyst of decadence」「ain't afraid to die」の再録版を収録することも決定致しました。数量限定盤はお早めにお取扱い店舗にてご予約ください。

The 11th album by DIR EN GREY 『PHALARIS』 has been announced to be released on June 15th, 2022. It has been about 3 years and 9 months since the previous album 『The Insulated World』, released back on Sep. 26th, 2018.
Limited Deluxe Version is planned to come with a bonus footage disc featuring live clips from the show “疎外 (SOGAI)”, held at Tokyo Garden Theater on Jun. 5th, 2021.

i have looooooooved this band for 17 years now & still to this day they impress me with every new release & evolution. Being from the middle of nowhere in Scotland i am the only person i know that adores this band but i love scrolling through these comment sections to see people from all over the globe who appreciate this art like me :') Thank you lads! edit: wow! Im from hick town Minnesota, one day I got bored so I booked a ticket to Tokyo to see one of their shows. I was supposed to come back right away but ended spending 4 years all over Asia discovering all kinds of obscure and amazing metal.

90年代くらいの過去のバンドは年を重ねて落ち着くなかで テレビとかに媚びずに攻めまくるディルは最高ですね。うちの10歳の子供には刺激が強すぎるけど(笑) 10年ぶりに盤を購入して聴きたくなりました。

一旦はファンから離れたけど20年以上経っても尖ったまんまだからまた出戻ってきた。普通は落ち着いて当初のコンセプトから離れていくのにこのバンドはコンセプトはそのままに進化してる❗

I just love all of them. Usually I only care for the vocalist in a metal band but their entire group is just so awesome. I guess it also helps that they are all busy bees outside of Diru so you get to see alot of their other stuff.

Also to clarify my first post, I'm mostly contrasting this with the "blast beats" in Decayed Crow. The main difference is he is incorporating the cymbal on the downbeats instead of just playing straight snare hits.

24.5年前のLIVEのMCで京様が 「これからも、いい意味で裏切り続けるバンドであるので着いて来てください」 って仰っていたのを今でも覚えています。 そのお言葉通り、新しい曲やアルバムが産まれる度に、毎度"いい意味"で裏切られ続けています。 有言実行、音楽と痛みに向き合うストイックさ、何より何時までもファンを見捨てない姿勢……全てにおいて尊敬の念しか有りません。 私の中では今迄も、そしてこれからも、人生を変えてくれた日本一、世界一大好きなバンドです‼️‼️‼️

For those who don't know, Phalaris was the name of an ancient Sicilian tyrant. He was fond of the brazen bull as a form of execution, which effectively meant roasting you alive in a giant bronze bull. Supposedly the device had a series of pipes which would distort the victim's cries so that they sounded like the bellowing of a bull and not human screams.

今の、最新の、direngrey だけどなんか 懐かしさも感じた。ミサ、ガーゼ、マカブラぐらいの雰囲気がする。アルケー程、バラエティに富んだアルバムではないけど、 面白いアルバムだと思う。近年のアルバムがあまり、、、って方でも全然楽しめると 思います。曲数は今までのアルバムより 少ないけど、この曲数が丁度良い。 疾走感もあり、濃密で深いんだけど 広がりがある。沼なアルバムですね。

I found Dir en grey on iMesh, starting with Kiri to mayu and Mitsu to tsuba...then I listened to Yokan and questioned if it was the same band or not. It's been 22 years now, and they're still the greatest band of all time.

Incredible song and video. The visuals kind of remind me of Ranunculus, which is something good. When Dir en Grey plays, it is more of a statement than anything else, and that is truly powerful and sincere. They are representing children sacrifice to the bull God. The pyramids are also highly symbolical. Dig deeper about what DeG talks about. Love from Spain.

I love no matter how old or how new their songs are, Dir En Grey never puts out music, but art that speaks in volumes. Every word sung, every instrument played, reaches in and pulls all the emotions in your soul.
