You think the 90's were good, you should have been a teen in the 70's! These were the best times. We could get wild, ride with guys we never knew, walk home alone at night, smoke with folks we had never met and not worry about catching something or someone killing us. The music and everthing was the best from the 70's to the 90's.

One of the all time great love songs. Patti Boyd should be in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame as an inspiration. For this song Lalya and Something. I always thought she was very pretty but never understood the impact she had on George (rest his soul) and Eric. But, it was undeniable. Thanks Patti.

I feel that way about Sinatra - Dean - the Rat Pack, most thankful for what I've had, the people, friends, music, and meeting him - my husband was managed by his people. I understand the Passion of the music / genres - that define us - who we are... Eric Clapton and so many great artists - were my daily feed in the 70's - (high school & college), the time passes so quickly, I'm thankful for KZfaq - opportunities to revisit the eras. :-) Peace! :

Totally same here, but I was only 14. This gig made me life-long fan of both of them. Especially MarK and the band. Actually Walk from same evening was the final hit that changed my whole understanding of music. Goosebumps from neck to bottomcheecks from first note to very last. I think I still have this original Finnish television live recording on vhs somewhere in my parent's home. It hardly works anymore but it's worth of gold.

even though erics' marriage didn't last so long, he was in love with her for the longest time - and we are the ones who benefit, as it is said that eric wrote some of his most beautiful songs/ballads due to this. AND... this particular version collaborating with dire straits.... Sensational!! the two different guitar styles of clapton & knopfler together is so nice. really enjoyed this track.
