there are quite a few of them indeed. I did not like too much on the LP, but wow the turbo live version, OMG!! IMHO the simplifying of the riff makes it the world (ONE!) of good...

Here I come back 10 years later, and still gives me goosebumps, much better than the original and probably my favourite song from Dire Straits ever. That intro, that power and that transition to Romeo and Juliet.

@@maks-hg2yq bit late replying, but it actually did. On the album there was slap bass on this one track from Peter Gabriel's bassist Tony Levin, seems John Ilsley couldn't do the slap, so they reduced the funkiness and boogie element and made it more straightforward rock.
