Nice to see the dunwich horror get a decent looking model. It drove me to madness trying to depict it. Pun definitely intended. It reminds me of a hell pit abomination from warhammer.

When summoning Dire Yoggy do you replace your most expensive monster/terror, or your Great Old One?

To Awaken him. Opener of the Way: you must replace a Spawn of Yog-Sothoth, paying 6 power, every other player gains 1 Elder Sign, and it counts as "Awakening Yog-Sothoth" if you have yet to do so for spellbook purposes. All other Factions: you must have your most expensive Monster or Terror in play, after paying 10 power minus your unit's cost, replace that unit with Dire Yog-Sothoth. Combat: Equal to the number of enemy-controlled Faction Great Old Ones in play. To Rule Them All (Action: Cost 4): Dire Yog-Sothoth can Capture other Great Old Ones following the same rules as Capture Cultist.

How well does his ability to capture GOOs work? It considers them cultist only for that capture action, so there would have to be two GOOs of the same faction to prevent them from being captured?

If there are multiple GOOs in the same area belonging to one Faction, then yes, the affected Faction does select which is captured (same as when capturing Monsters with Sleeper, for example). So in a game with Indy GOOs, the Indy is likely to be the one pitched simply on a judgment of cost and effect in most cases. I can only think of a handful of Factions who would prefer to lose their Faction GOO than an Indy if forced to make the choice.

@@ToeSama but Monsters can't be capture by Tsathoggua if the GOO of that faction is in the same Area. My question is about that, so having other GOO in the same Area can't prevent that effect.

@@mauuroo10000 Again, it only matters in a measure of same ranked units. Nothing stands higher in the food chain than a GOO, so other GOOs cannot prevent the capture, only make it so the player has a choice in which unit is captured.

@@ToeSama wow wow you don't say that before, so that "again" is funny. I know the rules dude, just asking for this NEW effect and is a valid question. Anyway, Monsters can't capture a cultist if there is another monster (of that faction) in the same Area, so maybe this effect can't triggered with 2 GOOs (same faction) in the same Area...

You're absolutely right in that there is a bit of confusion on what can prevent your GOO from being captured. This is my read of the rules. Nothing about the quantity of units protects from being captured, only the hierarchy. For example, just 1 monster prevents a cultist from being captured by another monster, but any number of monsters does not prevent a GOO from capturing a cultist. Likewise, no amount of monsters prevents Tsathoggua from capturing a monster, only another GOO. In this case, there would need to be something "above" a GOO, to protect GOO's from being captured by Dire Yog-Sothoth. ToeSama comments that nothing stands higher in the food chan than a GOO, which is correct "currently", who knows if Sandy will one day introduce something that ranks higher. :)
