What is the point (31:40) of doing ancient sorcery 3 times just to get the power back in the gather power phase? Is it just to be first player in the next round?

I love this game. It's true to the setting; unlike a lot of cthulhu games. It's balanced; unlike a lot of boardgames.

What happens if an Independent Great Old One is Eliminated by the Worms of Ghroth? Do they stay if your pool or go into the community pool? I ask because the IGOO Death rules specifically say when this is "Killed" whereas Worms of Ghroth say your units are "Eliminated".

I didn't know Nodens is in Cthulhu wars. and his powers make sense. since hes kind of a good guy he assists whoever summoned him, and also tries to prevent the end of the world, or at least during the apocalypse, delay it. Love it

I'm a little behind having just purchased the game and expansions, but this feels like solid advice. The playthroughs I watched seemed like trying to do everything was a terrible idea and a trap.

I did this strategy unconsciously and won 3 games consecutively.

Im confused when is a good time to start summoning gnoph-kehs. First turn i want to build a gate, summon a wendigo and hibernate to try to be first player. Or is a gnoph-keh first turn a good idea?

Sometimes, simple is best. I like the original.

Drawing more cards although increasing your chance of success x being greater also makes cards like time or need and future test near auto fails. Althoguh it still makes sense to give legolas something like the bow figuing he would be the best to comabt it pigeon holes him to only serve a an agility dps that in reality doesnt out pace other players combat potention especially given that anyone can have hunter and pump their damge with strikes

We enjoyed the game, it's fun experience, and has unique minis. Would stay in collection!

Hey. Have you seen the Tcho Tcho Tribes yet? One of the Tribes Spellbooks give Neutral Monsters +1 Combat. So each Star Vampire is rolling 2 dice!!!

I don't know, I feel the abilities in the Consecration spellbook should have already been part of the Cathedral faction card abilities, leaving space for another spellbook that could leverage Catherdals further with more abilities. Something like Cathedrals giving further movement abilities such as 'Underground passages' giving instant movement between cathedrals areas (which is also in theme, if anyone's read "The Mound")

I have a question that I’m unable to find an answer for so I would like to ask you about player order. While sitting at the table how do you determine who sits next to who around the table which will create player order for the game. I understand that The Great Cthulhu goes first and after that the player with the highest power becomes first player and picks the direction. My question is based on sitting at the table and who sits next to whom. Does everyone sit next to the map by their factions Glyph so it’s an easy reach to the Cultists as the game play begins? I believe there is a rule on WindWalker and Opener of the Way order of picking Area starting spots but who sits in what order around the table? I have purchased 4 extra expansion Factions and as they are added into gameplay I’m not sure what the seating order around the table should be or how to go about selecting seats at the map/table?

I find it strange that so many people do not realize the name of that corporation is "Phobolog", not "Phoblog".

Everytime i hear an audio reading of the dunwich horror this model pops up in my head everytime junior shows up in the story.

Hi, sorry for offtopic. Can we play cthulhu wars beyond 30 doom points. I want more wars in our sessions, and when almost everyone receive 6 spellbooks, everyone can fight in full strength. So can we play during 40 doom points or 50?

So should I just not buy tcho tcho then ? I have like 4 or 5 expansions already and everyone is making the tcho tcho sound broken and therfore not worthy of a purchase. I haven't heard anyone say such things about any other factions so is it safe to say this is a defective product and a safe pass?

Surely its advantageous to summon reanimated early to guard gates? Just dont move them

That Ramsey guy was so obnoxious.. like he’s sooo upset about the other guy taking his turn back.. but it didn’t change anything, nobody else had gone yet.. Ramsey backing up woulda meant everyone undoing like multiple turns.. almost every turn he took he’s basically asking people what to do and didn’t read his faction card at allll. Like didn’t know how his great old one worked.. didn’t take the benefit and is so upset at everyone else that he made a mistake.. like geeze. Those kinds players I struggle playing with. Even though he had SIX extra power earlier when he shouldn’t have even been able to take that action at that time..
