Here is my FAC 1+2 failure scenario. Direct law landing is pretty fun !
You have to manually control the thrust, also the trim, controls are very sensitive and of course you lost all flight control protections.
With all this additional views i had to lower my P3D settings, but it's still look awesome !

I got this failure once. Unplanned. I was departing from Kagoshima in Japan and right about 500ft or so it happened. I took that as an opportunity and dealt with it. I returned to Kagoshima safely. I remember how hard it was to handle the aircraft. It felt totally different. For the first time, I had to manually trim the aircraft. It was odd for the airbus. The aircraft was so pitchy. Gotta say you handled this very well.

You don't actually need trim because you could just hold the pitch by keeping your hand on the side stick constantly.

Hi! Nice video, would you like to try doing a landing on mechanical backup? I've tried on doing so, but I could only align myself with the runway from downwind but could never land heh, if you add flaps you'll pitch up and it's a pain. I'd like to see your technique! Take care and nice landings!

It's planned. I did this once in a full cockpit simulator with a real pilot. I wasn't able to land, so i give control to him Spoiler : he did it first try !

I have a list of planned video BTW Acutally i have 16 videos idees to do, including 6 failure scenerios. Spoiler : i have dual engine failure, ditching, based on a real flight, planed video that i want to do next mounth (or at least preparing it next mounth)

It seems that gets really input sensitive in direct law...

Hi there! Indeed since with pitch, you don't command a g force anymore, and with roll, you don't command a rate of roll either, now the sidestick position matches the flight control position. In normal law, If you were going fast and pulled back to a certain position, the elevators won't deflect as much as if you were going slower, cause at higher speeds more air would get deflected and you will accelerate upwards faster and you'll get a larger g force. In direct law* this does not happen :))
