That's correct!!! All of us Dears have an inordinate amount of love and respect for Dimash. We love him because of his unparalleled talent, but most importantly we love Dimash for WHO he is - one of the kindest and most loving people on the planet.

"How many genre shifts can you have in the one song?" Just as many as Dimash Likes! He flipped and modernised an old Kazakh Folk song into a Jazz/ Pop version. Sweet! Yeah - no it's not the Kobyz (seen in Stranger and other performances) but the Dombra. You're right; Dimash is surrounded by Love and Positivity. Why? Because that's exactly what he sends out. Not just with his talent, but with his humility and respect and his humanitarian 'messaging' in his work. He cares about people and the world and he tries to make it a better place - and it shows. { Such messaging is so essential in these very troubling times... } Keep enjoying and sharing The Love. 😊😍

Yes, the instrument is called Dombra, with only 2 strings! A Kazakh folk song that Dimash starts in its original form and transforms into jazz-funk, who does something like that? 😆The great Dimash, a musical genius of this century. Marvelous! And I agree that he is a great narrator, an unmatched performer, unique when it comes to transmitting emotions and feelings. We love him very much as an artist and as a human being.

Dimash updated a beautiful Kasaja folk song by adding touches of funk and jazz, as only he knows how. The string instrument he plays at the beginning is called KOBYZ and is typical of Kazakhstan and Turkic countries. Bravo Dimash!!!!

@@nancyhashiguchi8470 As a kazakh myself, let me tell you that there is also a kazakh saying "the real kazakh is not kazakh, the real kazakh is dombra" which indicates that dombra carries a lot part of our traditions in its sound and melody. And that is not just words, by the sound of dombra I can hear the melismas, atmosphere and I can almost feel and smell the scent of steppes of my homeland. This instrument considered to be the most important among many traditional instruments since our ancestors played it in all important events like wedding, birth of a child, Nauryz (which is considered to be the kazakh New Year) etc, took dombra even for wars to raise morality of warriors by playing on it. If I keep telling you I can go on and on... Everything apart, the important things is that he is a good human being, well-raised by his parents which totally shows kazakh traditional upbringing and I personally really proud of him. Totally fit and worthy of all complements. Rahmet Dimash!

The kobyz is the Instrument that is played throughout the song Stranger and Sumultai etc. I don’t believe Dimash plays that one at all. It’s a bit like a violin but played upright against the body, like a cello.

Dimash is a gift to the planet, to us, Dears, to the whole music world, and to the people of Kazakhstan!!! We love him not only for his voice and talent but also for his human qualities, which are outstanding. He is full of love for the world and he generously distributes it to everybody!!!! Love him dearly! And the jazzy performance should happen because it is the only genre he has not used yet before....

Yes, you're quite right about the love we have for this wonderful man, but...the thing is.....we sincerely feel the love he has for us too. It is reciprocal & an amazing thing. I've loved this man for 4 years now....listened to him every day except when I was in Hospital for 4 days & even then he was with me somehow....This all sounds so crazy & I really don't understand it myself but so it is. Never experienced anything like this before in my life. Dimash is one of a kind & I think we are extremely lucky to have him with us in these trying times. Great reaction! As part of the “Beauty and Harmony” program, Dimash delighted the audience in China with the Kazakh song Dudarai composed by Bakhytzhan Baikadamov. Dimash was accompanying himself on dombra and piano to perform the traditional song in jazz style. It was really amazing to see on stage a new facet of his multiple skills, always on point!! 🔝❤️🎤🪕 The dombyra (домбыра) is a lute-style instrument. It is an ancient and quintessential piece of Kazakh culture and identity. In its most popular form, the dombyra has two-strings strung down a long, skinny neck and a pear-shaped body, flat at the front and rounded on the backside. The dombyra is, in fact, so important to Kazakh national identity that there is a popular saying: “Naǵyz qazaq qazaq emes, naǵyz qazaq - dombyra” (Нағыз қазақ қазақ емес, нағыз қазақ - домбыра), which, translated, means “A real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, a real Kazakh is a dombra.” 💙💛🔝🌹🌹

I really wish for ALL of you to see Dimash live in one of his mindblowing concerts! A life-changing experience of at least 3 hours! I have changed/adapted all my travel plans according to his tour plans😂 never regretted a single one❤ with Almaty a year ago and visiting wonderful, sensational kazakhstan. Amo el timbre de la voz de Dimash pero también me gusta su lado como compositor..Dimash tiene la capacidad musical de cambiar en forma rotunda una canción e interpretarla como el quiera ...la original en la voz de Dimash es bellísima la canto en sus inicios,pero este cambio lo encontré genial..y hay varias que tienen un cambio radical como está por ejemplo Daybreak...My. Swan....debes verlas....

Dimash just has so much going for him. What he's able to do with his voice is amazing. And he's such an innovator with his musical choices. I'm 76 years old, have been alive to witness many wonderful singers over the years, and have never seen or heard someone quite like him. I'm one of those fans who just adore him. Pero adicionalmente, como lo dijiste, es un ejemplo, una inspiración para todos quienes lo amamos por lo que representa en términos de sus valores: profundo amor por su país, tradiciones, folclor, su familia, su gente, además de su integridad , coherencia, respeto, disciplina, coraje, audacia y entrega y pasión total por su trabajo y sus Dears. Dimash begins by playing a "dombra" in the original version of the song 😊 And then he goes to jazz funk. He is sooooo good!! Bravo Dimash!! 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐 (There is a version of this song with his sister, in traditional folk format)
