Jessi is Korean-American from New York/New Jersey. Her style is very western influenced, but she will always come back to her Korean roots and she also has many K-hip-hop and K-pop songs, as well. She has had a hard time over the years really finding her place in the Korean music industry, so a lot of her songs are a big flex, as she tries to prove to people that she knows what she is doing and that she doesn't necessarily need their approval. She will always be true to herself. With her brash New York style and very western flavor when it comes to most of her songs, it has been hard for her to get a lot of people to take her seriously as a Kpop artist. She has been in the industry for almost 18 years now and it's only been within the past few years that she has really started to find her stride. Jessi is currently 34 years old. She started out as a member of a short-lived K-hip-hop group in 2005 and then became a solo artist in 2009, so she has been in the industry for 18 years now. In 2014 she became a member of the Kpop trio Lucky J from 2014-16, while also continuing her solo career. She spent most of her career under YMC Entertainment, but in 2019 she signed with P Nation, which is owned by Psy -- the creator/singer of the mega hit Kpop song, "Gangnam Style", among others. She left P Nation last year and has recently signed with More Vision, which is Jay Park's new label/company. On a side note: Jay Park is Korean-American from Seattle, Washington, and he started out as the leader of the JYP Entertainment Kpop boy group 2PM in 2008. However, due to some controversy and some misunderstandings Jay left 2PM in 2009/2010. In 2013 he became the founder of his own Korean hip-hop label named AOMG, which is named after the Seattle-based B-Boy group, Jay was a member of called "Art of Movement." In 2017 he also started an international record label called H1GHR music. (He has since stepped down as CEO of both of these labels, but remains as an advisor and partner in he companies.) Last year he started his new label, More Vision, which Jessi is now signed to. Jay Park is now 35 years old, but a few years ago he was named by Forbes Magazine Korea as one of the top celebrities 30 under 30 to watch. He is one of the most successful solo artists in Korea and is considered an international music mogul. He is worth millions now and is considered one of the founders of hip-hop in Korea.

Some Koreans are very well-known for double-entente and Jessi is one of the masters. PIC does mean 'picture' but it COULD also be taken as her saying 'pussy' very slowly. She does have that sense of humor. :D
