They tore the formula after fighting over who gets it and all Plankton was left with was "a pinch of chum". The formula was always incomplete, so Plankrabs knowing the missing ingredient makes sense.

I never know what to expect from an episode of Spongebob Boys. The other day one of my friends was describing the plot of a (unlicensed and not associated with the show) Spongebob porno called Spongeknob Squarenuts and I have to say that the ACTUAL SPONGEBOB PORNO does not sound nearly as outlandish of a plot, nor as disgusting as some of the descriptions you give of the episodes you watch. I'm still recovering from Swamp Friends, which was like a month or two ago at this point. Overall this has to be one of my favorite podcasts ever.

The best part of watching this series for me is listening to two people go insane over concepts that, as a fan of the modern seasons, I’ve just gotten completely used to.

the chum making the Krabby Patties taste better actually makes sense, in a flashback episode to how Plankton and Krabs came to hate each other (since they used to be best friends) revealed that they created a formula for the perfect sandwich and that they were fighting over it. when it ripped apart, the piece Plankton got only had one ingredient on it, Chum, and Krabs got the rest. it's why Krabs is so successful (he has 90% of the perfect sandwich recipe) and why Plankton cooks with Chum (he's trying to reverse engineer the recipe, but he's working with the only ingredient he knows about). so it makes sense that adding Chum would actually make the Krabby Patties taste better, it's the only ingredient Krabs is missing

I never watched SpongeBob as a kid because we didn't have cable. We did eventually Get cable but by that point I assumed SpongeBob was bad simply because my Aunt liked it. Split among random hotel stays and college dormmates horrified I had not encountered SpongeBob, I have seen parts of three (3) episodes. I have officially been exposed to more SpongeBob via SpongeBob boys than any other circumstance. And it's important to me that you be aware of this fact. Gaze upon your creation and despair.

I weirdly saw Henry’s episodes the other week and hoped he’d get them via the number generator. I was presently surprised Mr. Krabs was allowed to be an actual character when he took the fireworks away from the kid and gave him a stern talking to, only for him to immediately go back to being flanderized seconds later. Squidward waking up in his own possessed body and realizing he’s lost control of it was terrifying, too. Overall, great episode

Unrelated question. I love outlining and worldbuilding, but I find the actual writing difficult. I think I enjoy it but it’s also very hard for me. I’m a perfectionist who agonising over every sentence & I’m not even a good writer so I know every sentence doesn’t even turn out well. I also struggle overwriting everything. I find it hard to summarise and turn every little moment of the character’s actions into a page of wasted filler. I’m not very visual and always struggle to come up with descriptions for scenes & characters. But I love stories, character arcs, & dialogue. I’ve thought about maybe trying a different medium rather than novels. Maybe screenplays but I do want to write novels. I love novels. Any advice?
