I love that you kept the grain of the wood in the design instead of using MDF or filling it in with wood putty. It gives the sign a very natural look.

Every single time he goes into a slowmo shot, I get really tense as if something is about to go horribly wrong but then it's absolutely fine. This channel is a roller coaster for me.

I love that you do lots of signs and things that are going to be seen by tons and tons of people over years and years. Just think of the cumulative lifetimes of human experience that will involve looking at that sign, remembering that sign, seeing it out of the corner of their eye. How many memories will exist where it plays a part. It really gets you thinking about how much of an impact on people's lives making things can have. As always, excellent work.

Beautiful work, and an excellent way to show the construction of letter with out the drilling-threading of blade-rinse and repeat version of sign making. Filling in with wood putty turned out great. I'm positive the guitar shop in Brooklyn is a better place for having your sign. Thanks for the lesson in production. (BTW I'm sure Gutenberg got flack for using his fonts over and over) Keep on making. - Annie

Very nice work Jimmy. Your bandsaw skills are amazing. Just an observation about typography for our home viewers: almost all professional typefaces have slightly larger sizes for characters such as "O". This is done to help adjust for an optical illusion that occurs, where we think that such characters are too small (because they have curves that only fractionally touch the baseline or midline.) Such characters don't actually sit on the line, they go _below_ and _above_ the lines. So if you're having to put together type like Jimmy did, remember NOT to line up all the characters on the same level. Your best bet is to print out the words or logo on the computer, use that as a template.
