Here Jimmy DiResta has to create a built-in for what looks like a new, or newly-renovated, apartment. We get to see him go from sketch to finished product, offering his signature tips along the way (like how to get your workpieces not to shift against one another when you drill in a pocket-hole screw). Then he shows us the all-important installation, where the trick is to make this seating and storage unit look like it was an integrated part of the apartment all along.

As a guy who does a lot of these built in bookshelves and benches, thank you for documenting the process so cleanly. I really liked seeing the other side of the camera on one of these builds. Cheers! 🍻

I've been watching your videos on a few of your projects. I am in a daze watching you work on your builds totally seeing a master at work. Your dialogue throughout your videos, making it sound like oh don't worry you can do it too! Who wouldn't like to build with you? I will keep on watching the projects. Absolutely mind blowing making Big Project look easy enough that anyone could do. Keep on, Excellent work. Cheers!!

Another great and inspiring video. I am sure you know this trick about brass screws. Have a regular screw the same size, run it in then remove it, then insert the brass screw. It is time consuming but if you have a situation where you can't afford a broken screw it is worth it

Thanks for the great video. To say that your work is awesome is an understatement. I have watched many of your videos in which all the action is at 3x or 4x speed with sounds coming from the saw, router, etc. This video is different and more interesting. Your voice explaining what you are doing adds tremendous value to the video. Please ensure that all your future videos will always incorporate your commentary and explanation.

Yet another awesome video made by you Jimmy! I was happy to hear that you are a dyslectic, since I'm one too. I know the struggle when it comes to numbers and trying to explain to people things, when I haven't the words for it in my vocabulary. But I have the gift of drawing the things, so if I can't explain so I often try and draw the thing I'm trying to say. Keep up the awesome projects you always do! Take care!

Hey Jimmy! As always, I love learning and some times re-learning shop tips that I had forgotten, Thanks for the tip on the Craig jig (glue before screw) I don't use the jig often because of the shifting and I the clamped leg table extension I use all of the time but often forget between uses. I really appreciate the explanation of your forethought as you build I.E. notching for molding and separating the pieces to ensure they come apart in sections that will transport and install easily. I am a member of the "build the item too big to leave the shop club" and that is a lesson that can ruin your whole day. Thanks again Buddy!
