shaqs prime was until 2002. after his finals mvps. after that it should've been kobe to take the load from Shaq but kobe wasn't good enough to do so. that's why the Pistons beat kobes superteam. wade took the remains of shaq and carried him to a ring tho. would've also won in 05 and 07 if not for wades injuries as well. that's impressive.

I agree. The NBA was so much fun to watch back then. I remember being in High School in 06 watching every game of the playoffs. Suns vs Lakers, Mavs vs Spurs etc. It was just so much fun to watch. I even enjoyed watching Lebron with the Cavs his first time around. I just personally dont enjoy the NBA anymore. I still watch Dallas as I am a Macs fan but I just get tired of always hearing about the Warriors and Cavs. I understand they are both at the top the league but it was nice when there was parity in the league. I feel like the super teams have ruined the league. Just my opinion. Others may disagree.

One of the craziest things about Dirk's 30,000 points is while he was a great scorer, he didn't have a lot of nights like this with 40-50 points, he's just as consistent as they come.

Jrock, it was totally different, you really can't see it? Sure some great players moved around, but they weren't all recruiting each other and taking pay cuts to join the same team. And most of those situations were with players out of their prime, or at least aging. These days it's players in their Peak Prime joining up.

@tristondean6488
@tristondean6488 5 жыл бұрын
Yep, of course he's great but he had that something that makes a team good too besides just his great talent. You could really make an argument that he did more with less over a 10 year span than any other player in the league. They were winning 50 games a season every year with some good players, but not as good as other teams that weren't winning 50+ games every season. Even in 06, (I wanna puke) Jason Terry was playing PG, Josh Howard was their 2nd best player. Fans were expecting Van Horn and Adrian Griffin to come through. I mean there for a while people wanted to call Carmelo top 3 player in league every year but would he have done with the Mavs what dirk did? I just don't know many players that could of had as much team success as Dirk did with the MAVS given that same roster for that many consecutive years in a row.

Hooks Fohdayz The Lakers were organic, Kobe was a draft pick, he evolved to what he was. The team was built around Shaq. They had solid roll players like D-Fish, Rick Fox, Big Shot Horry etc, It wasn't always clear if they were top dog. The 08 C's only went to the finals once in that 2 year span. And people were upset about that one too. The things about the 80s were that stars did not jump ships. I don't want to talk about the 60s since I don't really know that much about that era, I don't want to look dumb lol

Who cares what Lebron did the year after that? The fact is, he got lit up by fuckin' JJ Barea and The Jet while Dirk was hitting basically every shot he attempted.

@sxt35cchurtf73 7 жыл бұрын
marskeins wade was better then Dirk Nigga shut up lol. I love Dirk but he ain't even close to dwades level. Wade was the MVP of the finals bitch. wade started to feed the ball to LeBron after wade put the heat up 2-1 on the mavs. wade wanted LeBron to get in on the fun and he started to feed him the ball and that's when LeBron had the biggest choke ever.. I remember that series like it was yesterday. the heat were the better team only cuz they had wade and LeBron but lebrons ego couldn't take wade getting finals mvp cuz that would've tainted lebrons legacy and would've made it seem like LeBron jumped ship to be robin. FACTS.
