We went to Yellowstone in May/June 2021 and saw wolves in Hayden and Lamar (with the spotting scope) Valleys. Also, we saw several moose in the eastern part of the park, both at the north towards Silver Gate and on the way out towards Cody. The eastern part of the Upper Loop was closed that year, so a lot of driving! We loved the wildlife. The geysers, mud pots, etc were cool, too, but we enjoy the wildlife the most. You can't beat the Lamar Valley for that. We saw badgers and coyotes in addition to the animals you saw, but didn't see the mountain goats. Maybe next time...

I’ll be driving from the east coast (Georgia) to my home back in Washington state. Since we are passing right past Yellowstone and Grand Teton, we’re going to stop in both. We’re unfortunately only staying one night in Jackson. So we’ll be using the first day (arriving in the northern entrance from Bozeman) to drive in Yellowstone and some of that day to see Grand Teton and the same the next day. What do you recommend we see in those 48 hours?
